That is sooo true... I was just thinking the same thing... I am surprised San Diego didn't pick him. He is a beach type guy, would fit in well to SOCAL and I thought he is in the mold of the player SD likes... But their loss..

Oh, man! I had something important come up out of nowhere at 6:50 PM... by the time I was able to check back the draft I saw we had taken who was, IMO, the best player in the draft (and the best fit for us)... totally stoked now!

 

I was hoping for Veen, then Meyer, and I also would've been okay with Hancock, but getting Austin Martin at #5 is incredible!

Average age in college will be 18-21, which sounds about right for A ball or High-A. Major difference being they use metal bats in college as opposed to wood in pro (this can be an adjustment for college players).
