Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Due to a lack of response, I am assuming that BTS decided to ban Boxcar for a specific, benign post in one of the fantasy threads that was objectively not offensive and did nothing more than lightly tickle BTS' thin skin. This is an egregious overstepping of moderator power. How can I report a moderator for abuse of power? Why are we putting up with a message board where mods can single out innocent posters for arbitrary, undeserving punishment? This post is not a joke. I require a detailed response. As someone who was born with thin skin I take a lot of offense to being used as a metaphor.

Laika Community Moderator Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 The Montreal group lead by Stephen Bronfman will apparently become a minority owner of the Rays within ~3 months. Huge news for baseball in Montreal. s*** might actually be happening.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 I've been watching Jim Crane in the Astros press conference, over and over, what a train wreck. Might be one of the worst responses i've ever seen lol.

Might be one of the worst responses i've ever seen lol. "Our opinion is this didn't impact the game. We had a good team. We won the World Series, and we'll leave it at that." ... 55 seconds later ... "I didn't say it didn't impact the game."

glory Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 We can complain about Rogers, but at least they don't do stuff like this.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Man - I'd love to know what the proposed deal actually was. It sure seemed like a slam dunk deal for the Angels, which now appears to be off the table because Art don't wait for nobody. Brilliant.

The gist of it seems to be Huff made some Tweets in very poor taste (not many mentioned in the article, and I don't care to dig any further) and he went with the "it's just a prank, bro" defence when he got called out on it. Bottom line is the Giants aren't censoring him or infringing on his first amendment rights because the Giants aren't the government, they're a private company that's free to not invite someone to their party if they don't wanna. *shrug* I had literally forgotten that Aubry Huff existed until you posted this
