Not happening man, even in the PCL what Lux is doing is insane.

So seems like most of the Stroman chatter today is the Mets and ‘Stros. Atlanta checking in on relievers. Anyone hear anything else?

 

...and it’s very nice to see the Yanks rotation collapsing and SP injuries in both leagues. Let’s get a bidding war going!!

David Phelps has been great since he's been back and healthy. We got a sweet team option with him too.

 

I wonder if his name is involved in any talks right now, either by himself, or as a sweetner to get other teams to pony up more for Stro or Giles.

Sergio Romo to the Twins. It's now being reported as finalized.

 

Lewin Diaz going the other way. Pretty decent get for the Marlins.

 

Looks like the Twins are also getting Chris Vallimont and a PTBNL. Hmm.

I'd say it has no bearing on a Giles trade. Romo is not good.

 

The Marlins essentially swapped Vallimont and a PTBNL (pitcher) for Lewin Diaz. Romo's basically a throw-in.

 

It's a weird trade.

One of many scenarios #Mets are exploring, per sources: Syndergaard to #Padres, then using some of return to land Stroman from #BlueJays. Not known which players would go from SD to NYM if deal occurred. RHP Cal Quantrill, a Canadian native, would be logical target for TOR.

 

Quantrill is Canadian - therefore he's the 'logical' target for the Jays. f*** off Kenny...what a pathetic attempt.

Romo seems very similar to Hudson stats wise, advanced stats don’t like both of them but Hudson is better if you look at ERA.

We are going to get s*** for Hudson, not that I was expecting anything for him to begin with. That’s probably all I’ve learned so far in this boring ass deadline.

 

Can something meaningful please happen soon?

The Twins trade is so strange. The Marlins gave up a MLB asset and a good young arm to get Lewin Diaz who seems to be figuring things out this year but will need to be protected on the 40 man roster.

Edit: just looked it up... $29.5m for next year. Think Rogers would do like the Leafs and spend huge sums to improve prospect capital?
