Jays looking for Archer like return for Stro?

Not sure why I just recieved an alert from The Score about it.

 

I think Twins are the team to provide this for us.

I'm firmly in the extend camp (unless someone blows us away). That, of course, is contingent on him not asking for 20-25M a year or something though.

 

I feel like that's the kind of return we're going to see for Stroman, not the kind that I obviously hope for. I don't think we're going to see a top blue chip prospect for him. For Giles, quite likely. For both as a package, definitely.

Not taking Graterol should buy you something. In this case Rooker. Unless internally they now rank Balazovic higher, which is possible. Frankly I'd be happy with Balazovic +Duran for Stro.. Giles should buy something but anything more then a fringe top 100 guy is likely wishful thinking. Duran is dealing this year, much like Muller on Atlanta.. Get them now as they will be top 100 guys next year.

Daniel Hudson has been a solid pickup for the Jays. He's done a great job out of the bullpen, which has turned him into a trade chip this July.

 

Sogard is having an unbelievable season. The Jays could actually turn him into a young asset.

No one is going to give us anything for Sogard. At best you'll get a 24 year old AAA suspect. I wouldn't call that an asset. I hope to be proven wrong though.

I agree it's not the sexiest package but with the Phils not being that deep I would imagine it would take Stroman to pry what's probably 3 of their top 7-8 prospects.

I do like Hasely quite a bit. I think he’ll hit for sure, but not entirely sure about his defense. Fangraphs likes him enough to think he can be a perennial 3 WAR guy. If that’s his floor, I wouldn’t mind him as a secondary piece.
