You wouldn't sign bats on a three year 36 mil deal?

Where in the f*** did I say that? A few posts up, I said I'd sign him at 1/20?

I said Good Day!

Skills ain't worth s*** if he comes back as a hamburger... most do. Your opinion is on a wish and hare tale! Funny as you seem to think the Jays threw money away in signing Pearce at 6.5?

Either you can't read or are trolling, based on what you put in bold in my post. I'd like to think the latter!

Adam greenwood said 12 to 15 mil worth the risk and you said too much or were you talking about a trade and extension for Ross

No but he'd sign Morales on a three year 33 million deal because he bows down to the front office. He's been doing this for about 10 years from what I can remember.

About Ross, man.

Hard to pass that up. Even if he completely falls off the cliff (unlikely IMO given his skills) it wouldn't be crippling.

Remember they just gave Morales 3/33, a guy who has even worse defensive ability than Bautista, and will likely be a worse hitter in the next 3 years.

I see you continue to troll (or just truly can't read/comprehend the conversation).

Actually, you're the one who apparently can't read because you inserted Bautista randomly in a conversation about Tyson Ross.

Holy f***, do you wear velcro shoes?

Looks like he's jealous of Gruber. This is parody levels of stupid.

If the Birds signed Bats, Blevins and trade for Dyson, I'd be happier than a pig in s***. Go Jays Go!

That would work just fine for me. I like Blevins because he can be our top option vs lefties and his career numbers vs righties are pretty good too. He's also typically faired well in high leverage situations, just seems like an all round good veteran reliever to replace Cecil.

He never trolls, he's just a staggeringly massive idiot.

So, I wasn't wrong?

No. I actually started a response to him because I found it ironic that he was ok s***ing away money on Ross, who is probably toast, but thinks Pearce was a bad signing before I realized he was talking about Bautista for some strange reason.

Yet, he thinks, that's wasted money, it ties into stupidity, no?

I mean either way he's dumn!

Sounds like bollocks.

While he may well end up back here, I don't believe he'd turn down a fair deal from another team just because he wants to play for the Jays.

I'd guess it's more about PR in that if he signs here on a relatively low cost deal, he and his agent can say it's because he loves it here, and not because no one else wanted him at a fair price.

That's my take as well. Chances are he sees the writing on the wall that he'll need to settle for a much smaller deal than he anticipated, and wants to plant the seeds of loyalty to save face. Which is fine, that's his prerogative, but whether the Jays would sign him to that smaller deal is the question. Losing a pick for one year of Jose seems kind of pointless. As mentioned it would have to be something like 1 guaranteed year with 1 or 2 team options. That's the only way I can see Shapiro doing it.

Because of the draft pick, this could be one of those rare backward situations a longer contract would imply a higher AAV for the player.

1/10

2/28

3/45

I think a 2 year deal is most likely at this point.

Omg Jon Heyman works for MLB Network now? Lmfao. How does a guy who writes like a 10 year old keep getting high profile jobs as a journalist?

Does he have any info outside of speculating based on what he's heard? Or is he just waving his hands?

I'm honestly not sure he even hears info. He just seems to find things that make sense in his mind (Jays need an OF, so I am going to link them to everyone for example) and posts them. He is the worst of the writers IMO.

No kidding. Check out his sweet pixelated twitter profile pic.
