ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I saw two people with newborn babies there last night. Those people are insane. Complete idiots having a newborn baby there. Last year that baby was sprayed with beer in the "In the Action" seats. If you can afford to sit in a $500 ($1000 on the secondary market) seat you can afford a baby sitter. Poor parenting imo
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Why delete your twitter account if innocent? Because idiots like Jonn think rape is the appropriate punishment for throwing a beer can and will destroy his social media.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 If it is him, not surprised, seems in line with the type of stuff a Toronto Sun reader or employee would do. Probably did it so they can write a story on it.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I saw two people with newborn babies there last night. Those people are insane. Agreed, there's no good reason to have a baby in that environment whatsoever.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I really don't think it was him upon watching the slo-motion video. Yeah it's inconclusive at best.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 http://i65.tinypic.com/bjj0r7.jpg Love it!
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Author Posted October 6, 2016 Im no lawyer, but that video shows about 8 people who could have thrown that beer. Good luck with that.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Glad to see another social media boulder roll over someone who may or may not have committed what is a fairly minor crime. I'm sure everybody who picked up a torch was very measured and discriminating in their judgment. He is most certainly guilty and hundreds of social media man hours have no doubt been put to effective use.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 So one asshat ruins it for everyone, no cans sold for the rest of the post-season... lol.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Kind of looks like it was someone behind him. If he didn't do it this is a horrible unfair break for him. I'm sure the police have better footage, they can't charge him off that video, no way in hell.
CBlake Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 They have high rez surveillance cameras at their disposal.
Caper Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Glad to see another social media boulder roll over someone who may or may not have committed what is a fairly minor crime. That's the thing. WHo hasn't done worst? I've drove bombed out of my mind before (Longggg ago), I could have actually killed people. Not many people haven't done worst.
Caper Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Lol. I just want to see the f***er get his world f***ed upside down. I don't see what's wrong with that. The more I see what can happen to the life of the internet dog pile, the more I see wrong with it.

You can see the exact time in the bottom right-hand corner. He left quick, WITH A FULL BEER. Possibly taking a piss after the end of the 7th inning, but it's kind of suspicious with the beer being thrown in his exact vicinity. The rest of the fans must have better bladders or have no reason to leave so quickly. Only the man with the facial hair that was behind him disappeared in one of the photos as well.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 That's f***ed up without conclusive proof this Ken Pagan is the guy who threw it they should not have released his picture. Could be potentially ruining this guys life because he may/may not have thrown a beer can.
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Me and my brother went to blue jays games in the early 2000's when attendance wasn't very good. It seemed like every 2 out of 3 games, some fan would run out onto the field. Even though we thought it was funny at the time (we were 15 years younger then), we were surprised that it happened so often at blue jays games especially with attendance in the low 20,000's. Also, we weren't used to all of the heckling when we were in the outfield seats. I remember Ben Grieve got alot of s*** from fans when he played for Tampa Bay and these other drunk fans didn't know what to think when they were heckling Expos Vladimir Guerrero out in right field all game, and then his brother Wilton comes in as a replacement late in the game with the same last name, but different number.
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 You would think if the police DID have a better image of the thrower, they would release it to the public instead of the grainy videos/pictures that we've been seeing. I'm still surprised that no one in the area either saw the person throwing the beer which would draw your attention while trying to watch a baseball game, or if they did, make a big scene by pointing them out emphatically while they're trying to run out of the section. I'm surprised whoever did it got away so easily especially with a packed house and having to walk past a bunch of people to get out of your own row. You would think someone would say, "hey you're not going anywhere," but I guess no one wanted to get involved because they didn't want to be distracted from the rest of the game by assisting in the apprehension.

CHRIS Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Yeah it's inconclusive at best. Tough break for him that the call on the field says that he did it. Don't think there is enough to overturn.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I really don't think it was him upon watching the slo-motion video. Looks pretty clear to me tbh. I honestly don't see who else could have thrown it.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 In the Toronto Sun article he says he's been advised by his lawyer not to make a statement. "I'd love to tell you my story....but I can't say anything" I'm no legal expert but this suggests to me he did it, but if he doesn't own up and they don't have better video he could get off. But he can't risk denying until he sees the footage the police have. Otherwise why not say it wasn't me?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Otherwise why not say it wasn't me? Because you should never say anything to the police even if you are innocent. Absolutely no good can come of it.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 for those of you thinking he was taking a sip, it only looks like that in slow mo. No one can take a sip that fast in real time
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I don't see anything conclusive in these videos/pictures. I hope the cops have more evidence than just this. The fact that he's drinking out of a cup means nothing. It's the 7th inning I believe when people who go to games get hammered buy multiple beers because it's last call.
admin Site Manager Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Looks pretty clear to me tbh. I honestly don't see who else could have thrown it. Same. I don't understand how people can't see him clearly throwing it onto the field? What am I missing. And I'm sure the guy right next to him will say that he saw him do it as well. His face alone makes him guilty. He's trying too hard to look normal. I bet there's some other video from the security cameras and he's probably frantically walking out of the stadium shortly after.

Considering they had footage of him, they knew it was him. So there is not much he can do at this point. Makes sense why he wouldn't come forward as it would wreck his career as a journalist.
CBlake Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I think at the end of the day this really won't go anywhere. The crown will decide this is just not worth their time. The courts are stretched pretty these days. The cops will not arrest him unless they crown believes their is a reasonable chance of conviction.

It's national news, everyone is watching, they have to do something. No way they come out of it saying we don't have enough evidence to convict anyone.
