Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Expose himself to Canada? Holy f*** what are we, radiation? What part of Canada's secular liberal belief system has you believing that Tebow would just love to be a part of that? I have him pegged to go to a MLB team in the reddest state he can find. Or whoever forks up a contract.

He will go wherever he get's the best opportunity. Plus he's going to be in the minors likely his entire (very short) baseball career.

From all accounts he's not going to have the luxury of being picky if he wants to play pro baseball. Also my response was more directed towards your weird choice of wording.
Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Late to this thread.... He was a sideshow when he played for my NFL team, there's no way I would want the circus that would follow him here should we sign him. I'd be happy to be radiation if it means Tebow stays away!
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Don't waste your time with this guy. He wasn't a good football player. He sure as hell will not be a good ball player Damn right. Same for Alford, he's not even top 100 material.
Caper Verified Member Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 29 is just to old to start playing baseball. Johnny football on the other hand has a shot if he starts playing college ball this year. I'd like to see Tebow make it though, would be awesome. I think it would be awesome if he could end up hitting .250 in high A.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Apparently it was Tinnish that they sent to go scout him. He should have better things to do.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Tinnish? To scout a position player? A young kid on my ball team is trying out for Brock (where Tinnish went). He said Tinnish was at their tryouts and told them he just got back from scouting Tebow. I was surprised too.
Sorrow Verified Member Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Tinnish? To scout a position player? I wonder if maybe Tinnish originally scouted Tebow all those years ago and requested it.

baseballsss Verified Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 lol this tebow s*** is acting like this guy is the next great thing or something.
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 @ken_rosenthal: Sources: #BlueJays one of teams exploring Tebow. One of their scouts turned in favorable report.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 lol this tebow s*** is acting like this guy is the next great thing or something. I treat the whole Tebow thing like a troll on this board. I put it on a mental IL. It's a side show with extreme low probability of anything but 15 mins of fame. Wanna take a flyer? Sure. We'll see in a 2-3 years if there is anything there.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Sign Tebow and let him go to ST and then put him in Dunedin all year. The players would love it they'd be on ESPN all spring training long.
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I think he meant to tweet 1 of 29 teams.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Good, we need more wholesome, marketable stars and less bat flipping maniacs.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Good, we need more wholesome, marketable stars and less bat flipping maniacs. Fewer homophobic slurs on eye black and more bible verses!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Tinnish? To scout a position player? Tinnish loves to hit, and loves hitters, it's his passion. He just is a pitcher and happens to be much better at finding pitchers. It bothered the f*** out of him when Quebec wanted him as a pitcher, that's why he came back to play at the NCBL.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Shapiro seeing the $$$$ with Tebow in Buffalo or any of the minor league affiliates.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Meh. I wasn't really interested in Tebow so no biggie.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Meh. I wasn't really interested in Tebow so no biggie. He was intriguing but ultimately the Adam Loewen comp seems pretty apt. Enough raw power and residual ability to maybe get close but unlikely to get over the hump. Would have been a decent piece to have for depth but there might be similar talent in the international market anyways.
