Yorkshire Blue Jay's Achievements

  1. Whoever did make the decision needs to be looking for a new job in the coming days. It smacks of a lack of flexibility or trust in your pitcher you invested seven years in. Similar to pulling Gausman last year with the big lead when you only pay him $25m
  2. Originating from the UK with a betting shop on every street corner. Betting has been a staple for those that wish to do so my entire life. Thankfully I have always seen it as a bit of fun, sadly that's not the case for every individual but there is more available help for people that need it these days. I am used to betting company adverts but the in-program betting updates are too much IMO. Sadly though in a relative new market there is much to fight for in a very lucrative business sector. You never see a poor bookmaker!
  3. One barely has to wonder why 2 teams, so far, have pushed the button to trade him, and a 3rd has released him. Instead of being 'me' as he describes it, maybe he should try to be someone others want to be on the same team as.
  4. Wishful thinking because it's not my money and Rogers needs to spend some.. 1) Grass 2) Escalators or moving walkways on 500 level ramps 3) Break up and relay base concrete steps for the seating rows in the movable 100 level to face the field (& home plate) while in Baseball configuration 4) Install the seating from the 200 level (more comfy than the TD level for me) throughout the stadium 5) Stadium feature of some sort in the 300 or 400 outfield with standing bar area similar to the flightdeck - Tulo's Terrace, Donaldson's deck or Pillar's porch!
  5. That inning in game 2 was crucial though, it changed the entire series onwards from that point - Price had retired 18 straight before Goins/Bautista allowed to popup to drop, we were cruising with a 3-0 lead, to leave KC level before the 3 straight home games would IMO have been the difference maker. From that point anything could have happened, as it was we crushed Cueto in game 3, like they did Dickey in game 4, then Estrada pitched his gem in game 5. Last year I could have envisaged us winning it all, this year, even if we had beaten Cleveland then I would have expected us to lose to the Cubs. that's another reason why 2015 hurts more!
  6. I've already received my ALCS game two stubhub payment through paypal
  7. If you had to pay for your individual tickets in full when purchasing and not via the 'full strip' instalment plan all monies should be refunded by ticketmaster. Last year, only fans who paid with an instalment plan had to request the refund of their payments before they were credited to their account.
  8. Good - WC, Texas sweep, Donaldson 3 homer game, Smoak 2 homer inc walkoff, Sanchez blossoming into an ace like pitcher! Bad - Hitting 2 grand slams at home in LOSSES to Boston, awful last home regular season game against Baltimore. Inability to get timely hits while Cleveland did just that in the ALCS.
  9. Once again a shocking decision to play indoor baseball by MLB, especially given that the forecast high in Cleveland for Friday and Saturday is 12 degrees. All set for an afternoon in the dome or the usual oven when the temps are high outside.
  10. The 500 level is usually just an excuse for most folk to get absolutely hammered the 8pm start didn't help matters, many were worse for wear before they got to the dome. Around me last night were families with young kids mixed in with hammered twenty somethings totally unaware of themselves and their behaviour. Within 2 of me rows up and down there were probably 2 dozen fans who would have been thrown out of an English soccer stadium had they exhibited that behaviour there. I swear it seems to have gotten progressively worse throughout this season and it means I won't be buying any seats in the 500s in future. I'm all for having a good time and enjoying yourself but someone somewhere needs to decide when some folk have had simply more drink that they can handle.
  11. Cecil loves to walk the only guy that he is put in the game for, first Davis on Tuesday and now Odor.
  12. Yeah I had that dilemma too, but I called today with my apologies and will be at the dome on Sunday evening and will take them out to make up for it another time.
  13. It's like TBS announcers are trying to paint a picture of cold damp air descending in the Rangers halves of the innings and miraculously lifts when we are batting and hitting balls into the outfield. They might have a point though, don't they say that the light shines on the righteous!
  14. The announcers called both of those fly outs with more excitement off the bat than Tulo's bomb
  15. Why exactly are Bannister and Lucroy rocking the shades today, I hope it's because Bannister knows we have them overmatched and wants to hide his tears
