CHRIS Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 If I'm in a fight,I'd want him on my side. Without him, there is no fight.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 I'm sure Matt Bush was told though. He's brand new and not entirely aware of the history. Not to mention, he's probably the last player who wants to make waves right now. He shouldn't have been dragged into this. Funny how guys like Holland and Dyson who have been running their mouth the whole time passed on multiple opportunities to send "their message".
Praxis Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 - Bautista decked by Odor - Pillar flaring toward Odor and looking like spiderman - Donaldson decked Odor Brock Lesnar style - Dyson decked Martin Lesnar style - BP catcher popped Dyson I think in the mouth Pretty sure Statcast has Pillar covering the most range but with a 32% route efficiency. I would only add to this excellent post that Bautista was on first only and sliding into second because 'DUI' Bush: i) Waited until the last ab of the last game between the two teams to 'settle the score.' ii) Couldn't find a car to run over Bautista's head with before he fled the scene Stay classy Texas and keep defending your thugs like Odor and Bush.

Uh... Bush only faced Bautista once in the game. Did you miss the part where he came in as a reliever or did you leave that out because it doesn't fit your narrative?

Did you miss the part where he came in as a reliever or did you leave that out because it doesn't fit your narrative? I...don't understand. Bush was also not part of the Texas team that lost to us in Game 5 either, but he was on the mound when he threw at Bautista right? Edit: Perhaps I should have clarified that the Texas Rangers waited until the last ab of the last game?

You said that Bush waited until the last at-bat to throw at Bautista. This makes no sense. Did you mean the Rangers waited until the last at-bat because that would actually makes sense? It's certainly not Bush's fault that his teammates or manager didn't take care of it before. Because they didn't, Bush ended up the fall guy.

Made the new guy do it when they had ample opportunity. Cowards.
weams Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Odor: 10 (Barrett got 10, Odor probably deserves the same) Bush: 0 Bautista: 1 (For the slide. It clearly violated the new rule but this time last year and no one really bats an eye. He didn't even cause any damage. He honestly could get 0 though for mitigating factors. The guy was beaned, pushed and punched and didn't even ball up a fist (could be because his bell was rung so he didn't have a chance to but still.) Donaldson: 1 (For the running jump attack.) Pillar: 2 (He threw a lot of punches.) Chavez: 3 (RP's get banned for 3 games for something like this right? Or is it one?) Gibbons: 1 I think something like that? The Rangers coaching staff could get some as well. Seemed like Bannister was the one waiving his arms trying to get the crowd fired up right? Pretty ridiculous. Then there was that other assistant. I need to watch it again. You guys are setting yourself up for sadness if you really think thats happening. Jose will get at least 5 for starting a riot.

The fact that Texas has people like Bush and Odor on their team speaks volumes about their organization.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Didn't Gibby already get suspended for coming back out to the field after getting thrown out? I could see him getting 3-5 games since it already happened this year. Of the Jays players Donaldson or Pillar might get 1 game but I don't think Bautista will get suspended. He did a hard slide but his spikes were down, its not like he was trying to hurt Odor in that situation.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=29203 Pretty good article. Misses that Rangers assistant who lost his marbles and doesn't cover enough of Banister acting like a goof. What was the result of Donaldson charging in like that? Did he get a shot in? Also, what's this about the bullpen catcher getting some shots in? Is that true?
Praxis Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 You know Bush was once a Blue Jay right? Yes and he was released after 1 month immediately after he assaulted a woman at a party under a zero tolerance policy. Point?

Governator Community Moderator Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 You know Bush was once a Blue Jay right? Not really fair though, he was signed with a 0 tolerance policy and never played a game for the organization because he broke said policy within a month.
weams Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 You are to play the game a certain way. To put it midly Jose Batista does not play the game that way. He plays it the wrong way. He got what is coming to him. Adam Jones almost did the same to him last season. To call it a sucker punch is insane. They were both face to face. That isn't in anyway a sucker punch.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 You know Bush was once a Blue Jay right? That was before he wrecked in to someone while drunk and then ran over that person's head with his car while fleeing. But still, I won't criticize Texas for giving him one last chance.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Yes and he was released after 1 month immediately after he assaulted a woman at a party under a zero tolerance policy. Point? The Rangers also have a zero tolerance policy with Bush. He's even under a strict prohibition to not touch alcohol. Point?

The "wrong way"? lol shut the f*** up Also, who plays it the right way then? Odor who is so prickly he takes offense if he thinks you tag him too hard? Is that playing the game the right way?

If Jose was still on Baltimore nad flipped the bat like that last year in the playoffs he'd be sitting a game or two out in the ALCS I can tell you that.

Praxis Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 The Rangers also have a zero tolerance policy with Bush. He's even under a strict prohibition to not touch alcohol. Point? Since the Blue Jays took him for 1 month and then released him for assault, Bush was charged with multiple offenses after driving drunk (again) on a suspended license and running over a 72 year old's head and fleeing the scene, for which he was incarcerated. Texas then sign him up after his release with a rap sheet a mile long. Texas=not classy. That's my point.
