THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Pitching line predictions for tomorrow? I'm thinking he turns it around with all the days off he had to think and work on things, so: 7 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 7 K
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Depends what the wind is like. If its like today I'd rather have the 2015 Stroman.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 5.1 IP, 11 Hits, 6 ER, 2 Walks, 4 Strikeouts

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Can stroman survive another laugher? How many more putrid starts before hutch gets a look for a couple weeks The way Stroman has been pitching, the way the White Sox have been hitting, and the way we play against the White Sox....it doesn't seem likely that we see the turnaround tomorrow. I hope we do though.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Can stroman survive another laugher? How many more putrid starts before hutch gets a look for a couple weeks I think he's officially on Shapiro's watch list, although in the early stages. If he struggles again today, then he'll probably have two or three more starts max to turn things around before being sent down.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Going down to Triple-A is not the end of the world. That's the place to work on his mechanics not here. Hutchison deserves the opurtunity quite frankly.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 8 ip, 4 h, 0 r, 9 k, 1 bb Let's hope! He's stubborn as f*** but, at some point, the guy, you would think, would take the advice.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 9.2 IP 16 K 3 BB 1 hit -4 home runs 9.2 lol

204Jays Verified Member Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 5ip, 9h, 5er, 2bb, 3k Lucky if we even get this today.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 He has if you were paying attention... I still see plenty of 0-2/1-2 2SM, even in the last start. Plenty of his "2SM" missed high and, despite having the same horizontal movement of his 2SM, got classed at 4SM because of location.

How is that being stubborn if he's doing what the FO and coaching staff wants? All players have egos anyways if that is more what you are getting at. Donaldson and Bautista have 2 of the biggest egos in the sport and thats part of what make them so successful.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Whitesox hit 7 homeruns yesterday, I am fearful of what will happen to Stroman today on a similar kind of day.

Ask yourself this, is Ross Atkins going to throw Stroman under the bus when asked a pointed question about him or is he more likely to protect his image? Stroman has been on record saying he doesn't want to stop being a sinkerball reliant pitcher and we can see him constantly shaking Martin off to throw it in bad counts. We've had guys like Tabler say on the record that "people in the organization" believe the sinker is affecting his other pitches because of muscle confusion in his release point, among other things, yet he continues to throw it a ton. He threw only 20 sinkers last start. Please expand on this joint confusion concept? And without using Pat Tabler since he is one of the worst analysts in baseball.

The sinker wasn't the only problem. Every pitch that got hit either didn't break, move or got too much of the plate. Nothing was working
