Lil Looper's Achievements

  1. and if were lost, then we are lost together
  2. Life is a gift guys. Make it count everyday. Absolutely just terrible news considering he had a kid coming.
  3. So its official the division is basically impossible at this point? That sucks because the last 3 are against the red sox but if we are too far out it wont matter
  4. I dont understand the hate for Tim Tebow Dude was a megastar in college and performed adequately at the NFL level. Dude just had wonky mechanics, coaches hate that and dismissed him too early. Tebow might be the most genuinely nice guy I've ever seen. He can command the respect and push his teamates IMO harder than almost anyone in the game. Id sign him just to stick him in those A ball leagues just so maybe his charisma and life philosophy can rub off on some of the kids. Seriously for most likely petty cash total why the hell not? He actually looks like he can hold himself in those low levels anyway
  5. Kevin Barker's inability to not sound retarded upsets me
  6. I dont "need" to be drunk at all, but it makes for a good pre with the boys before we go out after. My friends are baseball plebs so they pretty much need to be drunk to enjoy what is happening. The 500 level IMO is fair game. Its mostly college bros anyway up there. Im mostly buzzed during the game and really cheer and get into the game. Why wouldn't you want that from the fans? In addition, if you want peace and quiet dont go to friday night games, enjoy your jr jays saturday. For what its worth I use to get the outfield seats near the opponents bullpen and would heckle the outfielders/bullpen guys sober in high school. Keep in mind like 10k would go to these games so you could actually exchange conversations with the opposing team. Most of them would just tell me they are making millions, etc... and Im funding their salary. Good times
  7. I give the org a lot of flack but all you can really do is listen to what scouts say and run with it. The more high pick, high ceiling guys you get, the better chance of getting a future MLB hitter. Your point is exactly why I dont get excited about prospects unless they go ape s*** in like at least double A. Travis snider was someone who at the time fit that billing in terms of tearing up the minors but obviously fanned out as an MLBer In regards to hitters specifically I looked up only the first round in the past 15 years and found some interesting things of note Since 2009, 10 of our 12 first rounders have been pitchers. Obviously first round doesnt mean auto-mlb talent but it shows we havent been targeting position players as early. The true high ceiling, likely cant miss guys havent been position players so its not a total surprise our 5th, 6th round talent never can make that final leap. In the end players just gotta produce I dont think our org doesnt know how to develop talent, its just that most talent fails. Also aaron hill was in the 2003 draft and while his time ended poorly, he had some good years here.
  8. Buy low on a 37 year DH with back/knee issues who didnt even OPS 800 in 80 games? Buy low for 20 mil on a 3 year deal? Ruben Amaro Jr that you?
  9. I use to go to about 10 games a year when I was in high school (09-12) Then I got older and i missed april and september because I was at UWO, and most of my friends would rather just booze at bars on the weekend so I pretty much did that. Ive gone about 1-2 times a year since with my only game last month on a friday against the tigers. Beer is so f***ing expensive but I chugged a 200ml vodka before going in so I only needed 2 to have a good time lol Im going back in the fall for a masters degree at Queens so Ill miss the september run again but i would like to have been here for it.
  10. He really embraced his inner clowntista this offseason Ive said it before, the guy is very unlikeable UNLESS he is producing (i.e. OPS 900) But with his awful AWFUL defence, DL trips and weakened bat this year, in addition to bitching to umps and just having a huge ego he once again holding up his negative image. I really dont care about him anymore and would turn priority A to EE. Unless he signs for cheap (3/45 at most) he can f*** off. I also think if he had to sign a s*** deal he wouldn't even condition himself properly out of frustration and his ego. He needs to find ortiz's roid dealer and get on those fast or hes done in TO I think
  11. We see a lot of bad contracts handed out but Prince was one of the worst because of his weight issues Good night sweet prince
  12. When did Shea Hillenbrand get a job at ESPN?
