Patrick Corbin would be a great pick up.

Both him and Delgado would be. I think reports of Stewart being full on retarded, especially with LaRussa really running the show, are overblown though. Arizona actually has some intriguing pitching prospects as well.

Are you sure about that. Shi Davidi broke AA's departure. Rick Westhead or some s*** reported 140 million. Shi Davidi broke news that was imminent and occuring that day. Rick Westhead threw a number out there.

Rick Westhead is a very good reporter and has broke quite a few big stories so far. Its not like he's some no name guy.

Stewart traded Wade Miley for no gosh darn reason and actually coveted Jeremy Hellickson, so why not? Aaron Sanchez for Corbin and Delgado. Don't let me down, Shapiro!

Okay BurlingtonBandit aka Rick Westhead. I'm going to wait to hear from someone who works for the Toronto Blue Jays to believe what their budget is. My sources tell me to "Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see".

So bob mcowon is saying he doesn't believe Payroll will be going up and can possibly be going down a significant amount. McCown isn't the smartest guy when it comes to baseball but still has significant sources inside Rogers.

He's also going on a rant calling out Rogers and I have to agree with him. It would be all sorts of stupid to lower payroll right now.

McCown has proven he has no sources in Rogers. I don't think any of his predictions have come true. Most notably he said LeBron was signing with Toronto.

I really wish that was true. I think Corbin and Teheran would take a very good package of prospects. Especially Teheran.

1. David Price – Cubs. Seven years, $217MM.

2. Jason Heyward – Yankees. Ten years, $200MM.

3. Zack Greinke – Dodgers. Six years, $156MM.

4. Justin Upton – Nationals. Seven years, $147MM.

5. Chris Davis – Cardinals. Six years, $144MM.

6. Yoenis Cespedes – Angels. Six years, $140MM.

7. Jordan Zimmermann – Blue Jays. Six years, $126MM. Zimmermann could become the first Tommy John survivor to score a $100MM contract. He has a 3.13 ERA over 810 1/3 innings over the last four seasons, but slipped a bit in 2015 and doesn’t boast the strikeout rate of other top arms. Since Zimmermann won’t turn 30 until May, a six-year term is attainable. The Blue Jays need arms, and executive Dana Brown was the Nationals’ scouting director when Zimmermann was drafted in ’07. The Cubs, Giants, Diamondbacks, and Tigers are other good matches. Click here for more on Zimmermann.

I have zero interest in Zimmermann at that price. I think Samardzija is a better pitcher and if he's right, we could get him at less term and 5 million less annually.

On a semi related note, how much would Shohei Otani command right now? 162 IP, 196K, 46BB, just 100 hits (and only 7 HR). Hit 101 MPH...and he's just turned 21. plays the OF on his off days still (.842 OPS in 200 PA's last year...dropped huge this year).

Again Seattle Trade is our best bet, they need support for that Robinson Cano bat and contract win now !

Tulo, EE, Dickey and catcher to Seattle, add in a PTBNL and either 6-12 mill up front or 4-5 mill for the duration of the Tulo deal.

Tulo closer to Home, not in Canada!

EE believe if Cano calls him he will waive and go!

Dickey in Seattle might just work and he eats innings!

Plus they have a ace and he isn't gonna be there forever!

Makes them legit! Add a arm or Davis and presto!

Jays get Taijaun, Edwin Diaz, Luiz Gohara, Danny Hultzen, Patrick Kivlehan, Ketel Marte

Taijaun can start, Diaz and Hultzen can move into the pen do fill the void of possible 2 arms moving into the rotation from the pen.

A Goins, Travis, Marte combo could be interesting!

Batz can move to DH and Extended Possiblely? Plus Batz can spell at several positions as well win win!

A outfield of Revere, Goins,Pompey and ? Should cover a lot of Ground

Edit-Whoops I meant pillar! Lol

And a cola/ SMOAK at first will do!

All this and we save a boat load of payroll to sign a ace or a couple of arms, maybe!

That's the f*** of it !!! Works good for both teams!!!

Makes more sense then signing Heyward and Davis and no pitching that I have been reading!!!

Not that your entire plan makes an ounce of sense, but particularly: How are you getting Tulo to waive his NTC to go to a bad team in an awful park that will suffocate his offense?

I agree the Seattle could make a great trade partner, but that deal is pretty ridiculous. Seattle has something like 77 mill locked up in 5/6 players, so they are not going to add another 40 million in 3 players with Tulo, Eddy, and Dickey.

Also I could see the Jays trading one of JB, Eddy, Tulo, but I have an insanely hard time seeing 2 being dealt. Especially in the same trade.

He's American, closer to home, Him EE and cano should make them better, heck even Dickey!

They have a Ace! Did Cano's ability to hit disappear in Seattle? HR maybe, hits not likely!

That division ain't the ALE division!

Believe they'd be in the Race over there!

Plus Seattle only has like 78-80 on the books now!

They could add a arm and or a bat like Davis to the mix and Boom there it is!!! Lol

But can you find me 3 players equal to them that you add for 14 mill per season out there?

Also I think 2 get you more plus maybe makes them both believe Seattle is going for it!

Question should we not still be offering a Qo to Buehrle?

Just in case and so that he doesn't pull the old bait and switch and we get nothing?

He looks kinda cooked so I think he'd definitely take it.

But he says he is retiring ! If he takes it not the worst thing is it ? Put him on the DL we can pay him and have him work with our minor league pitchers as a coach win win plus in a emergency we can have him as insurance or to pitch half a season fully healed
