And a 4-seam one at that. Most of them are straight.

Fair enough. But Osuna throws too many fastballs without movment, I thought he has good breaking pitches and needs to work them in a little more.

Time out - the Jeff Blair show was terrible? shocking.

The fact that Jeff Blair is still healthy enough is a minor miracle in itself. Every metric we have would have had him confined to bedstay due to type 2 diabetes by now

The problem is that he has a blister on his fingernail late in the season and couldn't throw sliders and changeups anymore/as effectively as before. Pending he improves his hand maintenance this season, you should see more of this:

where'd the post about the Jays signing Tony Sanchez go? did Lott jump the gun?

How is Sanchez's defense? looks like he could develop into a solid backup catcher?

It's been so slow with news I made a separate thread

Shake my head with all these idiots saying Sanchez added "20 pounds of muscle".

Gaining 20 pounds is not the same thing as gaining 20 pounds of muscle

Wasn't Alex Gonzalez batting 2nd when Buck was manager?

It's a toss up between his managing and his announcing as far as which is more terrible.

His managing. Not close.

Edit: and I think he's hilariously bad in the booth.

managing without a doubt, which is really saying something.

The brief under the Buck Martinez link:

"Blue Jays announcer Buck Martinez explains to Jeff Blair why Kevin Pillar would be a heck of a leadoff hitter, and who’s going to disagree with Buck’s 49 years of baseball experience."

Umm, tonnes of people?

It's pretty baffling that either of these clowns have jobs that revolve around baseball. It really goes to show you how clueless the masses are...which is kind of embarrassing.

But given the MLB's US national Fox coverage have the likes of Joe Buck and Harold Reynolds on their first choice playoff commentary team, I can more than cope with Buck and Pat moreso when coupled with Dan Shulman this coming season.

Tulo was statistically the BEST HITTER IN BASEBALL in 2014 with an wRC+ of 170.......and people are seriously about giving Pillar more at bats than him? jesus f***.

but if Pillar had more at bats he could prove himself just like he did in the minors. or something like that.

No, no. He'd gain more self confidence and that's the only thing he needs to go to the next level.

The FORMER MANAGER OF THE TEAM believes Kevin Pillar should get more PA than any other player.

Just have Shapiro sit gibby down like he does Atkins and tell him what to do.

"He loves to play every day and he's learning how to hit."

Well I'm sold.

Yup. What other essential criteria could there be?

Why not Martin? If the lead-off slot adds the .040 of OBP everyone thinks it does then Russell will get on at a .370 clip or something.

This is my take. Nobody is (should) be running in front of JD, Bau, and Eddy anyway so why not put the best OBP guy on the team there that would be Martin or Tulo
