DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 So Price ain't resigning, both because jays can't afford him and he won't want to. So give up Norris labourt Boyd and we get a 1st round pick back next year. Pick should be about equal to Norris so Boyd and labourt for price for 11 starts. How can you not love this With that attitude he wont be back but if we embrace him, win and pony up the $ why wouldn't he be back?
Nightmaul Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Excited about this, not excited about the future so much.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 We get a pick for Buerhle. not when he retires?

Maahfaace Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Scenario: price gets hurt f***ing around with his old teammates at Camden yards. What would happen?
leaffie Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 All this is true. Be happy for now. But, please don't forget this. When there's lean Jays years the fans can't squawk about s***** teams. The Jays cannot run hot forever if they're as all-in as they are. I have never squawked about s***** teams. So if they have a run of this year and next, that is fine with me. Prospects are just that. When you have a chance to use your capital, you do it. And even if this all falls flat, Jays fans have been given hope and a very good chance. That is all I ever ask for with this team. Nice to see you again!
IBTrini Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Guys, let's invade the Orioles Hangout... They're so salty. Worst fans in MLB. Why? Is being a douche appealing to you? They are understandably not happy about the Jays situation so why try to anger them even more? I swear some of you are not even teenagers as yet. If you feel strongly about something just do it. Don't look for support to do something foolish.

How can you not love this The emergence of Osuna really made this trade possible. We have hutch, Stroman and Osuna, and Sanchez. Osuna has 3 quality pitches and will be a starter next year. The Jays are clearing 45 million off the books with Dickey, Buehrle, Romero, Izzy and Navarro and just got 2 mil more with the reyes for Tulo trade and we spent less money than we did last year. We are going to go sign a proven starter in the offseason even if it is a lesser and cheaper name than price. We're not going to go with 5 young pitchers in the rotation next year and we still have estrada as well. The emergence of Travis and Pillar combined with Donaldson and Saunders is so huge for the payroll. We will either get the pick for Price or we sign him...win win scenario and we may end up in the post season as well.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 no compensation pick for a rental guys. Are you sure? If he decide to retire we are f***ed.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Just won't happen. I'd put the odds at over 100 to 1 They said the same thing about JD, they said the same thing about Tulo. I agree that there is a good chance that he isn't back but why not try and keep him. No sense being pessimistic as a fan when they are all in.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Guys, let's invade the Orioles Hangout... They're so salty. Worst fans in MLB. "Try 12 games. This is why Andrew Miller for 60 games > David Price for 60 games. Compare David Price and Daniel Norris for 12 starts. How many more is David Price really going to win you than Norris? 1? 2? There's even a chance he wins you less because 12 games is a ridiculously small sample size for a starting pitcher that literally anything can happen." Of course many there still believe Baltimore is a superior city to live in than Toronto so
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Anthopoulos should hold a f***ing seminar on how to get things done without a word having been leaked.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Jays have traded all pitchers so far this deadline. Weird to see the Jays have better position players prospects than pitchers.
