jayswin11 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 So Price starts Sunday if I'm correct?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Still taking shots, never change Price. Check the date.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Guys you better enjoy the next 2 months, because AA has pretty much gutted us. How has he gutted us? We still have Stroman, Sanchez, Pompey, Osuna, Alford, Harris, as well as a cost-controlled core. I'm not saying the Price trade was cheap or wise, but to say our team youth is gutted is just flat out wrong. We kept our best young players and prospects IMO.
SexyNewForum Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I still think shields would of been a better target. Especially before the season when we knew we were going to struggle with SP Frustrating it came so late but it's here I suppose. For 2 months
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 How? We are so good everywhere else that LF is really a minor concern that is instantly alleviated by calling up Dalton. I'd like a Fiers or Kennedy and then I can positively say this team can wreck s***. So much this^^^
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 The Blue Jays have possibly been the poorest run franchise in all of baseball for two decades. And they still still have fan boys for the front office. An ORIOLES fan said this. lol weams God I hate the Baltimore Orioles. These guys said, after Tulo "meh, they need pitching." We get the best pitcher on the market: "meh, they didn't do anything after the Marlins deal and I'm too lazy/stupid to do any kind of real analysis"
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Well Zaun says Norris will never be anything. So there's that Zaun also hated Sanchez and loved Stroman
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Guys you better enjoy the next 2 months, because AA has pretty much gutted us. Price, Buehrle and Dickey are the only guys walking. It doesn't have to be a 2yr window.
ColdPint Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 At least we'll get Stroman back in September. Silver lining Fixed that for you.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 You think there's more moves on the way? I'm skeptical. We could make a minor move for LF (someone who can play defensively) and we could certainly use another lefty in the bullpen.
polar bear Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I don't agree that the Yankees are better They just didn't throw away games in Dubront Boyd And Copeland Throwing away games ?you can add Reyes, and the two lefty relievers to your list.
GreekFatAss Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 What a douche. Sure sounds like someone happy to come here and eventually re-sign.
agrushcow Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Man people love to s*** on AA...like he's traded like so many great prospects over the last 3 years. Fortunately what everyone is overlooking is that he also can build a damn farm system within a couple years... we have JBau and Edwin under contract for another year. We have blue chippers at C, 2B, SS, 3B for multiple years. SO next year we have a C, DH, 2B, SS, 3B, RF all locked up at arguably top 5 at their position. You don't have blue chippers at 1st, CF or LF, but Pillar is damn solid and a long term starter, and Pompey, Davis and Alford coming up. Your OF is likely set...even after JBau is gone. AA blew it up in the Marlins deal....and yet we still have this many pieces to throw around. All we need to do next year and longterm is get arms...Stroman has all the components of an ace, Dickey will likely return for a backend rotation innings eater role. You still have Hutch to slot in 3-5. Really we just need one more solid arm for next season. I have no sadness over losing guys like Boyd and Labourt. I also am not as high on Norris at the end of the day. But we haven't made the playoffs for 22 goddamn years...at some point we gotta take what it takes.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 coming from a guy who could only excite 400 Tampa fans to get to games. kind of stupid comment. Insult the fan base just after being traded. not so smartz
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 This is a complete team right now
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 The best part of this tweet is that Price was still with the Rays when he posted that.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 The Bobcat has spoken. Hah...was going to post that.

polar bear Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Enjoy it guys. Cry later Cheer up ffs.
youngtea Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 You think there's more moves on the way? I'm skeptical. Have to agree. AA is done. This roster is good enough to make the playoffs.
jays76 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 AA should actually just go and take Shields for free, if the rumors are true. Lol imagine! Reuniting the TB tandem, then let Price go in the off season. He probably could get Shields for little but he'd need almost an additional 10M from ownership this year.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Shanchez for Shields would be nice! ninja
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Pineda scratched with elbow soreness... OH BABY
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Back-to-back NL pennants and a WS. I'd be very happy with that outcome. Yet build the farm back up like he did after 12'

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 The thing though is that the Yankees have beat up on Price ;/ lol
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Yet build the farm back up like he did after 12' Ya, this FO isn't even close to RAJ levels. I'm not worried at all.
