I expected better from you derpy. WE'RE ALL CRAYONS IN A BOX MKAY! .. jokes aside, I am high on Boyd so FYSMC?

Still have Yovani Gallardo, and Blue Jays have interest. Portobello and Boyd That'd be fantastic. I'd do SRF for Gallardo i think even.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 He's a rental (Gallardo). Don't give up Pompey, Alford, or Norris for him.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Colabello is ripe for Texas. Please AA
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 OMG you're being dense about this. It wasn't leaked early. It was leaked about the same time trades usually hit the press. The only reason this is newsworthy is that a player was rejected for health reasons, something that rarely ever happens, and the teams had to pull out. Stop trying to make a mountain out of this. This isn't all that different that what happened with Matt Kemp in the off season. Did people stop dealing with the Dodgers over that? This was not normal, Flores was still playing. It was highly unusual. I cannot remember a trade breaking and falling apart while the player was on the field. Secondly, to dismiss this as a failed medical is also naive. Gomez is completely healthy. His agent is adamant he's healthy and he's playing today. There was no one else going to the Mets so it's not dense to think there could be more to this story than is being let on.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Gallardo for Andy Burns + Smoral in 3..2..1
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 How about EE for Gallardo and Moreland?
Sorrow Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 How about EE for Gallardo and Moreland? Odds are EE declines the trade.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Grab Gallardo for Colabello, take on that contract of Shields and keep most of the farm intact. If Buehrle is gone next year allocating those funds back into Shields makes perfect sense to me. Those innings are going to have to come from somewhere.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Odds are EE declines the trade. Why would he want to stay in Toronto so badly. He can build up a nice contract in Texas. With his best buddy Reyes gone anyways.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 They won't trade Edwin for a rental.
baubau Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Odds are EE declines the trade. To Texas where he'd make more alone due to tax savings? I think very few people would say no to Texas.
flafson Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Gallardo isn't very good... I wouldn't want to give anything decent for him. He has gotten lucky but at the same time he kicked our ass.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 They won't trade Edwin for a rental. We get Moreland back who is Left Handed and Not a rental, plus he will balance the lineup more I think there is something in it for both teams. Rangers get a big power bat that they can team with fielder and maybe even extend
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Rangers could want Valencia 2 which I'd be fine with as well.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Gallardo isn't very good... I wouldn't want to give anything decent for him. The only thing I see at a glance is a very low HR rate. But remember we don't need an ace. We just need a suitable 5th starter.

I'm positive he could get Gallardo & Shields if he wanted them without raiding the farm or disrupting the roster too much. He has almost 10M left this year to offset their remaining salaries and like you said Buehrle's expiring next yr for Shields. The question is does AA think Shields is a good fit for the team and RC, plus does he want him long term? I like it though, those 2 could be just what the doctor ordered for this team..
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Gallardo isn't very good... I wouldn't want to give anything decent for him. Racist. Osuna is so happy right now

Governator Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Gallardo would be a hell of an upgrade over Doubront
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 TR Sullivan Blue Jays asked about Gallardo but nothing really came of it....Rangers quiet this morning. Medical records being checked on Hamels trade
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 We need projected wins... it doesn't matter how they come. It's all about upgrade vs. cost. Is Yovani Gallardo really that much better than what we have? I don't see it. Better than Doubront, and I would not give Boyd another shot. Norris I think is going to take awhile to develop. Honestly I think Sanchez could do a better job than Doubront, but this team seems hellbent on sticking him in the BP.
jays76 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 If AA gets Shields or anything from SD he should also get J Upton thrown in for shits & giggles.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Jerry Crasnick #Rangers are telling teams they're OK keeping Gallardo and getting a draft pick if they don't get an offer they like. lol Daniels is trolling AA
MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Gallardo is a n.2 that has low-mid 3 ERA stats. He would be perfect for the Jays. Also he is already playing in a hitter ballpark in Texas so his stats won't change much
