There is a chance, come August, Hoffman is in the majors and contributing more then Syndergaard. Long term has a chance to come sooner then you think.

Yeah, sort of like Castro (not Fidel).

Osuna as long as he continues to develop the offspeed pitches.

You are absolutely unbelievable. Like a walking caricature.

There's also a chance Brett Lawrie is pitching for the Blue Jays by next week. Saying "there's a chance" doesn't mean it's likely to happen.

Lmao @ pitcher coming back from TJS and no minor league experience pitching in the big leagues less than 3 months later.

Get your f***ing head out of your ass please.

There are absolutely no viable arguments in favour of Osuna. Sorry.

there's absolutely no way you could come to conclusion of what Osuna career will look like based of 128 innings of minor league ball from the ages of 16 to 19.....the correct answer is time will tell.

Osuna is more than 5 times better than Syndergaard. Can't argue with stats.

Yeah. Almost 3 years younger, and 5 times better ERA. Amaro will love Osuna.

Umm, Osuna is getting big league hitters out as a 20 1/4th year old, its not smoke and mirrors either, he's got a 3+ K to BB ratio and a 12.6% swinging K rate. Syndergaard dominated the minor leagues, there's no question about that, but there's a good chance Osuna would have done the same if he took the traditional route. So there's absolutely a case to be made for Osuna over Syndergaard. He has 2 1/2 years to get to where Syndergaard is now, i don't know why anyone would think this is a silly comparison.

Whatever happened to the third of the Lansing 3, the tall lanky left hander.

The carcass of his once promising career was recently cremated in tribute to the baseball gods, an act of good faith for the generosity that they have so warmly bestowed upon the Jays by gifting us Jeff Hoffman.

your all a bunch of kid, I rememmber the real lansing 3, Roy Halladay, Chris Carpenter, and Kelvim Escobar. They were all highly touted prospects in the Jays farm system together, were going to be future aces. How did that turn out???

Only about 110 WAR between them.

You're so good at tying things together to make legitimate, noteworthy points. Great player was once highly touted prospect, therefore highly touted prospect will most definitely become great player. I don't see any holes in that logic. You should become RealLawyer.

This must mean that I've been right all along. Jeff Hoffman is currently a well regarded prospect in the Jays system, which means he's the next Roy Halladay. I have achieved affirmation.

Thank you for bringing me on this journey with you.

Best case scenario is Hoffman becomes an upper echelon prospect like Syndergaard in a couple of years.

Obviously Hoffman is easy to dream on, but he's not close to Thor's level yet. Any other train of thought is delusional.

Guy is on top 100 lists without throwing a pitch in pro ball. If he dummies kids this year he'll be t20 no doubt.

This board is honestly f***ing retarded.

Syndergaard over both easily.

3.42 true talent MLB FIP as a starter.

If you just read that and the thought of posting his line tonight entered your mind, please go drown yourself in the nearest toilet.

Just gotta drive the point home that best case scenario isn't an upper echelon spect in a couple of years. He can very well reach it this year. And I just tossed top 20 because 60 FV seems more realistic. Kiley seems like a guy that would throw a 65 up though just based on his comments about Hoffman.

Now + a season's worth of uncertainty = then

Syndergaard = then

Hoffman != Syndergaard
