The only ones left on the 40-Man roster that aren't on the DL or 25-Man are Goins, Gose, and Pillar. If Kawi doesn't start tomorrow then we only have Tolly, Kratz, and Thole off the bench. Unless they DL someone before the game, there is virtually no back ups if Kawi and Reimold can't play at all tomorrow. Unless they get desperate and stick Santos at 2B/SS lol.

That might be what they wind up doing. They can buy time that way. If they wind up DLing someone they can recall Kratz without waiting the 10 days and they don't have to stick someone on the DL right before the ASB if they might be fine after the break.

They should have sent stroman down for 10 days after his last start based on Wilner's advice since he would not have pitched in 10 days it would have worked out perfectly.

 

I was looking at the draft pick signing thread and how the first post of that thread was organized by twisted logic I think

 

I know its asking for a lot since I am too inept to do it myself but would it be possible to have a similar injury tracker for the jays

 

So you would have a column for the player injured name date injured current status ( whether DL or not) date expected back and comment

 

Again a feature like that would be amazing ;-)

Just an FYI......Lind was downgraded from months to weeks, he gets out of his boot in 4 days, theray after, etc,

 

Moms are always protective and exaggerate their kid's injuries

NEWS UPDATE

 

Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopolous suggested there's a chance Encarnacion could begin a rehab assignment by next weekend, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports.

 

ROTOWIRE FANTASY ANALYSIS

 

The Blue Jays have passed along little information on Encarnacion's status since he landed on the disabled list July 7, but the fact that Anthopolous merely has optimism about the slugger beginning a rehab assignment suggests he hasn't hit any notable setbacks in his recovery. The Blue Jays will evaluate him over the course of the week before making any sort of pronouncement on a stint in the minors.
