Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Tight hammy for Mooooooooooooney, day to day. Jesus. Who do we have left, lol.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 The only ones left on the 40-Man roster that aren't on the DL or 25-Man are Goins, Gose, and Pillar. If Kawi doesn't start tomorrow then we only have Tolly, Kratz, and Thole off the bench. Unless they DL someone before the game, there is virtually no back ups if Kawi and Reimold can't play at all tomorrow. Unless they get desperate and stick Santos at 2B/SS lol.
flafson Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 This situation calls for Goins, but who do you DL/option? I guess one way is to send Kratz down.

That might be what they wind up doing. They can buy time that way. If they wind up DLing someone they can recall Kratz without waiting the 10 days and they don't have to stick someone on the DL right before the ASB if they might be fine after the break.

sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 They should have sent stroman down for 10 days after his last start based on Wilner's advice since he would not have pitched in 10 days it would have worked out perfectly. I was looking at the draft pick signing thread and how the first post of that thread was organized by twisted logic I think I know its asking for a lot since I am too inept to do it myself but would it be possible to have a similar injury tracker for the jays So you would have a column for the player injured name date injured current status ( whether DL or not) date expected back and comment Again a feature like that would be amazing ;-)
sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Actually jays can still send Stroman down today and have him be ready for July 22nd which would give him the 5th start out of the break It makes too much sense not to do it. To have Goins up here for those games and playing at 2nd

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Just an FYI......Lind was downgraded from months to weeks, he gets out of his boot in 4 days, theray after, etc, Moms are always protective and exaggerate their kid's injuries This is excellent news though
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Just an FYI......Lind was downgraded from months to weeks, he gets out of his boot in 4 days, theray after, etc, Great!!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Need EE, Lind and Lawrie back in the worst way Even really good teams can't afford to lose guys like that for extended periods
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 *therapy* ^^^^ Was this a cry for help?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 LOL....no, I mis-spelled therapy in the post above it, but yeah, it could be a cry for help, I've been despaired by our GM. LOL! I know....just couldn't pass it up given your "rep" haha...

Key22 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 So is Jansen gone for the year? Is he going to need TJS? What's the scoop?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 So is Jansen gone for the year? Is he going to need TJS? What's the scoop? He was out with illness. Barry Davis @SNBarryDavis Gibbons says Janssen is "sick like a dog". Caught something during break. Lost 7 or 8lbs and had IV's to replenish. #bluejays
labadee Verified Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Anyone have an update on EE ? at least a couple weeks. should be getting Lawrie, Lind, and EE one after the other by then
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 As long as we hold the fort, we have a chance.
flafson Verified Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 As long as we hold the fort, we have a chance. Depends on your definition of holding the fort. Looks like the fort is mostly gone already.
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 So, when do Reimbold and EE come off the DL? Lind? Exactly? If we pick up Headley and get those guys back, that's a solid lineup down the stretch. It'd be so nice to win 2-3 series before the...

sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Edwin Encarnacion: (Quad) Rehab Assignment Coming Soon Posted on July 20, 2014 at 10:37 AM NEWS UPDATE Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopolous suggested there's a chance Encarnacion could begin a rehab assignment by next weekend, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports. ROTOWIRE FANTASY ANALYSIS The Blue Jays have passed along little information on Encarnacion's status since he landed on the disabled list July 7, but the fact that Anthopolous merely has optimism about the slugger beginning a rehab assignment suggests he hasn't hit any notable setbacks in his recovery. The Blue Jays will evaluate him over the course of the week before making any sort of pronouncement on a stint in the minors. More Edwin Encarnacion News from RotoWire.com
