Edwin Encarnacion: (Quad) Rehab Assignment Coming Soon Posted on July 20, 2014 at 10:37 AM NEWS UPDATE Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopolous suggested there's a chance Encarnacion could begin a rehab assignment by next weekend, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports. ROTOWIRE FANTASY ANALYSIS The Blue Jays have passed along little information on Encarnacion's status since he landed on the disabled list July 7, but the fact that Anthopolous merely has optimism about the slugger beginning a rehab assignment suggests he hasn't hit any notable setbacks in his recovery.
