G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 AA sez Morrow took his finger brace off and threw some pitches. Felt "a little discomfort" and put the brace back on. So, those holding your breath for Morrow to get back, should take a breath or two

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 I'd say stiffness yes, pain no What does AA mean by discomfort? I don't know.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 . Asked if he’d be willing to spend more time in the outfield if Bautista required a few more days of semi-rest during the road trip, Encarnacion didn’t hesitate. “If (Gibbons) needs me there for a couple days, I can play,” he said. Just don’t put him at third base, where he’s appeared 674 times in 1,163 career games, amassing 114 errors over that span. “I don’t want to play any third base right now,” Encarnacion said with a smirk. “I just want to have my mind chilling, relax, enjoy the game, be happy, having fun.”
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 LOL Edwin... Imagine the career he could have had if he had been moved to 1B from the onset? Trying to become a decent 3B clearly ate up too much of his time, attention and mental energy.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Obviously you need his bat in the lineup every day somehow Against LHP on this road trip I think I'd go Edwin 1B Tolleson RF Bautista DH and Lind bench/PH

They might have moved Votto to another position instead.

No need to keep Lind in the lineup against LHP. I'd probably go Masto in RF though which allows you to use Tolleson at 2B or 3B.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 What is the latest on Cecil? Will we see him by next week?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 What is the latest on Cecil? Will we see him by next week? Started rehab assignment in Buffalo on Monday Have not heard of any setbacks so yeah hopefully next week

As bad as Mastro's mistakes were I would send down GLen over him. Mastro at least has defensive value. Glen is useless as he hasnt even had a hit yet and his ABs look terrible.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Bautista DH EE left field again tonight
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Bautista DH EE left field again tonight Gose in centre too. Something up with Colby or Gibby trying to increase OF defence with the inexperienced Edwin in left?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Gose in centre too. Something up with Colby or Gibby trying to increase OF defence with the inexperienced Edwin in left? Probably. It's a big OF in Oakland and he needs the best defensive Cf out there with Dickey pitching and Edwin and Melky on the OF corners. maybe some of those fly balls turn into outs rather than doubles to the gap.
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Colby sitting out vs only rhp in Oakland means something physical.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Colby sitting out vs only rhp in Oakland means something physical. Gose is also left-handed.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 this seasons going to end up costing Gump 10's of millions of dollars. Not to mention a supplemental draft pick for the Jays. If they can get him at a discount I would re-sign him 100%.
