KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I'd offer him to secure draft pick comp Yeah I'd do that too. I don't mind if he accepts because it's just one year. The one thing I wouldn't want to do is sign him long term. There's too much risk of that turning into Vernon Wells 2.0.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Barry Davis @SNBarryDavis 1h Brett Cecil is en route to Oakland tonight and will rejoin the team for tomorrow's game. #bluejays will need to clear a spot on 25 man Barry Davis @SNBarryDavis 2h Bautista tells me his hamstring is much better, and could play RF is he had to. #bluejays erring on the side of caution.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 http://i.imgur.com/vZ2KFLD.png Bautista being subtle on his injury.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Bautista should probably sit today
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Bautista should probably sit today Bautista should be DH'ing. Edwin in LF is a huge liability in that ballpark.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Lind will be sitting, so EE will get to go back to first. That means Bautista can still play DH without effecting the defense.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out on ______________________________ limb Corey Aldridge??
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Aldridge likely PED suspect 180 wRC+ in AAA Mexican league and AA New Hampshire at age 35 Give him 3 weeks on the Jays before the juice wears off LOLOL
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 So now the OF (other than Gose) will suck though Gose, Cabrera and who? Tolleson? Mastro. Glenn should be the one demoted for Cecil. Mastro is way more useful to this team than Glenn especially with Rasmus injured and Bautista DHing.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Have to say, we are now at the point where we have had an least an average number of impactful injuries for a team this season Not devastating like Rangers or Yankees but bad enough that our infield problem is being exposed anyhow Really wish AA had nabbed a 2B this off season instead of waiting until now to (maybe) get it done
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Don't like our lineup matchup today: Blue Jays 1. Jose Reyes (S) SS 2. Melky Cabrera (S) LF 3. Jose Bautista ® DH 4. Edwin Encarnacion ® 1B 5. Dioner Navarro (S) C 6. Brad Glenn ® RF 7. Steve Tolleson ® 3B 8. Darin Mastroianni ® CF 9. Munenori Kawasaki (L) 2B A's 1. Coco Crisp (S) CF 2. John Jaso (L) C 3. Yoenis Cespedes ® DH 4. Brandon Moss (L) LF 5. Josh Donaldson ® 3B 6. Stephen Vogt (L) RF 7. Jed Lowrie (S) SS 8. Alberto Callaspo (S) 1B 9. Nick Punto (S) 2B
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Egads, that lineup is 50% pathetic
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 So tomorrow will be 2 weeks since Lawrie's been out. Hopefully, only 2 more to go.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2014 Author Posted July 5, 2014 That's a lot of gyros "meat"
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Shi DavidiVerified account @ShiDavidi Steve Tolleson rolled his ankle before game yesterday. That's why Juan Francisco is starting vs Scott Kazmir WTF? He played last night..
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2014 Author Posted July 6, 2014 Add Edwin to the list Cry Looked pretty bad
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 We can survive without Edwin, but AA has to decide if he wants to go for the playoffs this year. If he does, we NEED a good bat for 3B or 2B, we NEED a 1/2 starter, and we NEED some bench depth.
magits Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 EE QUAD STRAIN Cf Great news that it doesnt appear to be the ACL.
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 AA pulled the string once and now he's obviously gunshy. You look at what Oakland got today......yet people think Price alone will fetch twice as much apparently. This team is wounded big time. Then we have cement shoe George Bell Sr.....errr, Milky Cabrera giving games away. This team is fading fast. I can see not wanting to let other teams touch Stroman, Hutch or Sanchez, but something has gotta give somewhere or this team is heading for a .500 finish and nothing more.

baseballsss Verified Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 How long does a quad strain usually take to heal? Headin to anahien to catch a couple games, it will be my first jays game and wanted to see as many regulars as possible.

Moderate strains take 10 days to six weeks, and severe strains require three months or longer for recovery." Looked at least moderate, perhaps severe.
