ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I hope Melky's mother tells him to go for another MRI...if she even knows what an MRI is, of course.

Art Vandelay Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 They are still leading the second WC, only 4 games back of the division and could close it to 3 with a win tonight..... Also, I would think most baseball fans would love to go see Price pitch. Oh, I am interested in seeing him pitch, it's just it's David Price vs the Blue Jays hitters....
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Jays need to grow a pair and retaliate when one of their players get hit. They hit Cabrera early to get him out of the game knowing Jays already had a short bench. Clever move by Showalter and no retaliation by Jays. They should have drilled Davis or Machado in the ribs after that one. Next time they meet Baltimore they should have a target on Davis's uniform.

That's on par with the Diamondbacks... not cool and ill-advised.

Not so much moronic, just a clear indicator that DH12 has never played competitive baseball.

What you suggest equals suspensions and fines in the MLB. That's just a dumb idea. Umpires will eject players if they feel the hitting of opposing batters is intentional.

Wilner was on the fan earlier today with Tim,and Sid. Tim thought it was intentional, and he said why he thought so. In the previous half inning before cabrerra was due up,Happ accidentally hit Machado in the foot with a breaking ball, and thats when the decision could have been made to hit one of our guys,in the next half inning.
Rajais Mitten Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Good news on Melky! This kinda concerns me but I guess we're lucky that it wasn't his throwing arm and if anything he can always bat right to not put that much stress on it.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Kawasaki Thole Goins Another world beater of a line-up................................. Think if someone said, at the start of the season, that in August the Jays would be a half game out of a playoff spot and had 4-5 of Navarro-Valencia you'd think that person was sane.

Sometimes I get so mad at Edwin. It wasn't really his fault but it kind of was... WC would be nearly a lock with Edwin.

Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Hopefully they start working on Lind's back now before it gets stiff. quoting myself

They should have retaliated by drilling one of their hitters, in the ribs (nowhere high though) However, the target should had been Jones in my opinion. Gibbons had to show them not to f*** with us. But he shows a lack of balls/ character. It's too late to retaliate anyways but questionable decision not to retaliate.
