TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Just threw a little live bet on the Yankees with K-Rod coming in. I just think he's due to blow one

8D Verified Member Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Syndergaard with 9K and 0BB through 5 innings tonight. Now at 45K and 15BB through 48 innings in Vegas. that trade and his series of trades are just gonna look worse and worse as time passes by... oh boy.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 CC Sabathia is out with a knee injury. Aceves to rotation.. not good news for the Yankees.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Robbie Ray is good. Tillman 1st inning: walk, walk, 3-runs dinger, GB-out, walk, K
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Brewers blow a 5-4 lead with two outs in the ninth, but walk it off in the bottom half to beat NY. Boston only AL East team to win today.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 And now, from the "what the f***?" department, Jeff Francoeur has now logged four scoreless relief appearances Lol it's been a crazy year for Frenchy. The form looks pretty ugly but he probably has good speed, I wonder if anyone has got a read from a gun.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Baltimore can't afford to lose against weak teams like Houston.. especially with a big series coming up with the elite Tigers(21-12!), who will send out Porcello, Smyly and Verlander. The other question is whether Wieters' injury ruins the pitchers, as Clevenger and Joseph are downgrades offensively and defensively. Don't be fooled by their current record.. let's see what the O's do against elite, contending teams. Rays and Astros aren't exactly contenders. (O's have a 5-0 record vs. the awful Rays this year, BTW.)
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 More good news for the Jays: The Rangers have pushed back Yu Darvish's next start by 2 days, from Wednesday against Houston to Friday against the Jays figuring a win vs the Astros is less likely than vs the Blue Jays.

Convo Verified Member Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Watching Sunday Night Baseball and its nice to see that were not the only team who pisses away leads in grand fashion. Cardinals still have a chance to get out of it after 3 straight hits and walking the bases loaded with no outs. OK but have they walked 8 guys in an inning and thrown 3 wild pitches leading to runs scored each time in an inning?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 @ChrisCotillo Sources: #Padres Kyle Blanks may be on the move soon. #Athletics are a possibility at this point. I want him

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 @ChrisCotillo 58s One name I'm hearing in potential #Athletics-#Padres trade for Kyle Blanks: OAK OF Jake Goebbert. Alex, do something. Bring that giant boy to Toronto.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 RH bat who plays the OF and has actually crushed AAA. Of course we won't land him. The real question is, does he have the perfect platoon/4th OF tools? Then you know that even if we land him he isn't getting any playing time.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 RH bat who plays the OF and has actually crushed AAA. Of course we won't land him. s*** the team could have had Michael Taylor for the low, low cost of a Sierra DFA and it didn't happen so yeah...
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 RH bat who plays the OF and has actually crushed AAA. Of course we won't land him. What, do you want to lose Kenny Wilson if we remove him from the 40 man?
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Man, Texeira can't run much, he just hit a ball to the RF corner and could only get a single out of it. He might be slower than Navarro right now.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 And McCann kills any hope of the Yankees winning by grounding into a DP... that deal the Yankees gave him is already looking like an albatross, while John Ryan Murphy is looking like a better option than him.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Man, the Rays are acting like the 2013 Jays right now.. except a bad Rays season could threaten the franchise's future in Florida. No way Sternberg will continue to run the team with no new stadium coming and the franchise likely heading for a rebuild, which will equal Expos-level crowds.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 So I hadn't noticed the Cards are hovering around .500. Apparently, they're not being "clutch" this year.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 They can't hit with RISP, plus they've had serious regression with several players, and STILL haven't called up Oscar Taveras.
