That was crazy, 3-3!

Mike Trout and Albert Pujols back-to-back, both come through, hurting the Yankees, and even potentially helping out the Blue Jays.

I don't know a sequence more perfect than that.

Well Brian Roberts just took the lead for the yanks, solo homer off Frieri lol

In other news: A's had 2 on and two out, Moss K's looking from Furbush. To the 9th with the M's leading 4-3 in Oakland ugh

We should have traded Sierra to the Mariners while we had the chance. We probably could have got Farquhar back. Thames trade 2.0.

First sign of trouble this season was Morrow getting lit up by the Canadian junior national team in spring training lol

I'm weirdly relieved Morrow is out of the picture. It may open the door to Stroman and maybe another prospect this season. Morrow may pull a Chris Carpenter and come on strong when he's older, but right now his stats truly reflect who he is, an enigma with a million dollar arm who can't put it together.

Exactly. We want every hitter to swing perfectly, and hit it right where and how they want to, and every pitcher to throw it as fast as they potentially could, at the location they want it, and every fielder to be clean and have the perfect first step. And every ump to make every call exactly perfect.

Human error is baseball. All around.

I like errors, makes the game more entertaining.

But ump errors are not good. Some are just plain bad are their job. The result of a game should not be determined by someone who's not even playing.

I do. Replay process is boring. Takes the buzz out of the building every single time we get a close play. I can't stand it.

I'll say it again... The result of a game should not be determined by someone who's not even playing.

As for the "buzz". I've never been to a baseball game, but I've been to a ton of hockey games. And when they review plays and such it does not effect the "buzz". Only time it gets quiet is when the crowd is waiting in anticipation of the result. It allows the home crowd to cheer again if it goes their way, and usually gets even louder. And if it doesn't go their way there wouldn't have been a "buzz" to begin with.

We just need to refine the process. I think we could have a replay system that would create some buzz. If you have a dedicated reply guy in EACH stadium (who is actually good at his job) and just have one of those secrete service ear pieces in the crew chiefs ear, calls could be made WAY faster (and on each questionable play). You could take out all the managers trundling their fat asses to the fat ass umps who then trundle over the the headsets. There is enough time between each AB to do this anyway.

It was voted best pitch too by a long margin, but Alvarez's two seam, Andrew Miller's slider and Jansen's cutter were pretty nasty too.

True, but he'd have to locate it pretty bad to serve it as a meatball. It's a two-seamer running in right?

If he ends up aiming for the corner and the pitch ends up in the center, then yeah he's f***ed. But I think those two-seamers are generally aimed outside the strike zone/center so that they move in to paint the corner/inside the RH. Not to mention it's not a straight fastball so it's a bit harder to hit even if you are waiting for it.

Brewers' play-by-play guy is going on about how Wily Peralta should start to get included with Harvey, Lee, Fernandez, and Kershaw as true aces in the NL.

I wouldn't even put Harvey in that group let alone Peralta

Not sure if anyone else said this but Marlins with another shutout. Tom Koehler spun 8 innings of shutout ball with 5 ks and 1 walk. He got 0 winz out of this because the Marlins had to walk off in the bottom of the ninth with a sac fly lol

Comedy of errors in L.A. Cowgill commits an error colliding with Trout on a fly ball, Santiago is ineffective, and now he and Pujols may be hurt.. oh, and the Angels are down 4-0.

The words comedy, "colliding with Trout", and "Pujols may be hurt" should not be used in the same sentence.

While we're chasing NY and Baltimore, Texas continues to implode. They're getting blown out by the Rockies AGAIN. Nolan Arenado's streak continues..

A Texas loss and we're only 0.5 out of the wild card, currently led by NY/Baltimore and Seattle(which won't last.. they're due for another slump.)
