He "giggled" when he heard it

It came out of nowhere

JP should have called him - he has Zaun's number

The Jays have no catching instructor

His performance hasn't been there so he should expect to get criticized

I'd be upset too if I was playing as poorly as him

I haven't been unfair to him

He doesn't have a problem with him trying to hit for power.

Says he hasn't decided if will sue JP for slander re PED use

Sait it was childish to bring up the PED thing

Says Jays should have a full time catching instructor

I'd say the same things if I was his coach.

You can't just pretend everything is hunky dory because you've hit 15 home runs

-Zaun was shocked JP would do this over the radio. He has his number, email and knows where he is at the stadium.

 

-Zaun doesn't apologize for hard on him. "What rosey picture am I supposed to paint", "He's got more pass balls that BBs", "It's not my job to go down to the field pregame and glad hand around. Not my job to play the slap and tickle game"

 

-Zaun considers JPA's PED allegations out of bounds. When asked about taking legal action he did not rule it out. JPA broke the "bro code" here.

 

-Says he's never seen JPA working on his defence. "He says he works hard but I've never see him doing extra work on his receiving/blocking pregame". "You're not good enough, be better".

 

-Quips "There's more to this game than trying to hit bombs every AB"

Tried to search this on FG and BR, but no luck.

I'm trying to find if there's another catcher with 250PA (JPA has 295 atm),

that has more passed balls than walks. JPA currently has 10PBs and nine walks.

And we all know JPA has had more than "10PBs" this season...

Took the more classy approach

Why hire a catching/receiving coach for $80K and maybe get a 1 to 2 win return (worth somewhere from $10M to $20M) when you can trade assets for free agent contracts?

Has all the ability in the world, could be an AS, could be like Yadier, could be the best... all the talent.

But hasn't improved since three years.
