  1. The underrated Jay's farm finally getting a little more love. Wagner and Roden seemed to be rated a bit low in all the pre-season prospect lists, even with the obvious criticisms (age, position, lack of power etc.). Yes, their potential ceiling isn't a a fan's wet dream, but their hit tool and approach seemed undervalued given their profile is much lower risk / higher certainty (better probability weighted outcomes) then some prospects rated above them. It will make a significant difference in the team's short to mid-term if we can pepper this roster with several 2-3 WAR cost controlled players. Plus, I really like everything I've seen and heard about Roden. The kid studied Astrophysics, so put him next to Vladdy in the lockerroom and they can have some debates on the origins of the universe. Hopefully this kid can stick and contribute!
  2. I would go Section 133. Those will be great seats!
  3. We're going to find out how durable Kirk is this year. If they had a better secondary option they'd be able to protect this kid (now long term team asset) better.
  4. Welcome back! Hopefully we see the dancing underwear man gif at the end of the game.
  5. Some patriotic old timer wearing a "Canada is not for sale" hat. An usher demanded he remove it because they have a 'no political messages' policy. The Canadian patriot stuck to his guns and they escorted him out like a common criminal. Not a good look. Blue Jays fan kicked out of home opener at Rogers Centre for wearing ‘Canada is not for sale’ hat
  6. Does kind of look like Reese. They have the throwing hand in the wrong place....
  7. Haha, this guy doesn’t like being wrong!
  8. This time gentlemen, Jaysblue is NOT the one who should be tarred and feathered. But let's tar and feather him anyways.
  9. You're not the only one. I also have a soft spot for that soft tosser. Dem's the breaks, but I still think we could have used some more long man depth with some MLB experience.
  10. By all accounts, the team has made a genuine and fair (I think MORE than fair) attempt to sign this player to an extension. The org has been willing to recognize his intangible value to the team and has been willing to overlook his many flaws, risks, and inconsistent performance. Given the above, the way Vlad has conducted himself in interview and social media has come across as entitled, self absorbed, deluded, childish, and just plain f***ing annoying. Honestly, if he had said nothing and shut his big trap and allowed his agent to work behind the scenes, I'd see things very differently. Instead, he is determined to run himself into another sure out. I was a huge fan of this guy and one of the few who still believed in him when many were yelling about sending him to Indy ball last year. Now, if things don't work out with the team, I'm pretty confident my sentiment will be "don't let the door hit your fat ass on the way out."
  11. You're right on the money on Scherzer. Everyone should have been expecting nagging injuries and limited innings from this legend.
  12. Welcome back to the fold bones!
  13. Yup, if either Yariel or Sandlin can succeed in a late inning role it will completely change the complexion of the bullpen. Pop has been so frustrating to watch since he's arrived here, and I'm pretty sure Nance ain't it. There has to be a half dozen arms they could sign right now for very reasonable dollars that could at least offer more floor on the back-end of that bullpen.
  14. I wish a tar and feather button existed.
