  1. Nice job Pop
  2. It's never easy is it? Can't just cruise to a victory
  3. f*** sakes Nola you lucky f*** that's the second time he's been taken yard but just foul
  4. I am really looking forward to the bullpen f***ing this up today haha
  5. Baby steps lol
  6. Davis keeps the line moving
  7. Holy s*** Bo got a hit
  8. f*** sakes of course it's foul
  9. Gausman missed ST and is just getting up to speed 5 high leverage relievers that were studs last year have either spent time on the IL or lost effectiveness (Romano, Swanson, Mayza, Green, Garcia)
  10. All I'm saying is not as simple as the simpletons clamoring for Atkins/Shapiros heads want to believe. That's what every idiot fan whines for when their favorite sports team goes south. Sometime it is deserved. The #1 reason this team has gone off the rails is because Vlad/Bo/Kirk/Manoah and also Springer have completely s*** the bed. This is a group of players I'm sure 99% of the fans here were just fine building around two years ago, and that's what Atkins did. And he did a good job of it because they still won 89 games last year despite not getting anything near projections from that group of players. So the question is why have these players s*** the bed? Is it Atkins fault? Shapiros? I get that ultimately the responsibility falls on them, but maybe they kinda/sorta saw this coming a little bit? I mean, last I looked they didn't go and hand out any mega deals back when these players looked like gold. Or maybe they just got lucky avoiding that trap... If they need to go then they need to go, but not because of the lynch mob. You have to weigh the good against the bad and find the root of the problem or you might just make things worse.
  11. The fat useless core players who had the shelf life of a tomato, that's who. They're the ones that appear to have failed more than anyone else.
  12. Jays FO built a solid and deep team around a rotten core. Two years ago nobody thought we'd be imploding because the core would fail this badly, but everybody wants to act like they had it all figured out ages ago lol If the Atkins has to take the fall for that, so be it. Just don't hire somebody worse.
  13. I'm not simping for anyone you f***tard, they can fire the whole lot I don't really give a s***. It's just funny to read all you know it alls calling for people heads like you had a f***ing clue in 2021 or 2022 we'd get zero WAR a month into the 2024 season from Vlad, Bo, Kirk, Springer, Manoah and Pearson and also have 5 high leverage relievers all die at atvyhe same time too.
  14. f*** me I can't believe how simple some fans can be. Shapiro, Atkins, Shapiro, Atkins blah blah blah It doesn't really matter who the f*** is running things when your mid twenties core all s*** the bed at the same time. I mean yeah, f*** Shapiro and f*** Atkins for not predicting something that nobody on the f***ing planet would have predicted either lol
  15. The Jays never gave Bo or Vlad mega deals....that's a positive. Should be able to move on from these schlubs with a minimum amount of pain.
  16. Twins are red hot right now too lol
  17. Nice catch Vladdy you Tee Doube U Eh Tee
  18. So....are we waiting for Springer to get down to a .400 OPS before we f***ING REMOVE HIM FROM THE LEAD OFF SPOT FOR A BETTER HITTER?!?!?! Just wondering....
  19. Bonilla 2027 starting CFer 3 WAR 2028 7 WAR and MVP finalist 2029 3 WAR 2030 1 WAR 2031 0.1 WAR and DFAed
  20. Decimated by injuries so far Romano, Swanson, Green all spent time on the IL, Yimi is currently unavailable and might end up there. Plus Mayza probably should have spent time there, FB velo down like 34 MPH this year. That's all 5 high leverage guys and the best guys from last season
  21. Averaged 91 wins a year for the last three years despite their homegrown young core completely imploding in on itself. It's clear that Atkins was able to surround the core with a pretty damn strong team, now the question is how much blame should be put on Atkins for not identifying a rotten core, or is there something he's done/doing that is the cause of the core rotting? You could also argue that Atkins did indeed suspect the core might fail somewhat, as not a single one of them have been extended to long term deals, and as a result this team might be able to pivot quickly from that core and start a retool beginning this year if things don't turn around.
  22. Wow If that is his stuff+ numbers Manoah starts are basically going to be guaranteed loss days
  23. I don't give a flying eff if they fire everybody, including Atkins, and replace them. I just want a winning Jays team. But...Atkins is the guy that built a team deep enough to still win around 90 games despite 4/5 of their very good young core completely s***ing the bed last season. He's also the guy that was patient enough NOT to sign any of these young core members to long term, lucrative and what would now be crippling extensions when they looked like they'd be stars for years to come. Just sayin.
