  1. I'm not judging the front office, I'm questioning the people who continually complain that they didn't "fix" the offense. I never said the FO did a good or bad job, I'm saying from our view point it doesn't seem like there was much they could do with what was available, other than shore up D and pitching and try to help the hitters already on the team rebound back closer to career norms. It hasn't worked so far and it actually looks like some of these hitters have gotten even worse possibly.
  2. Is the expected win loss calculated from run differential? The reason the Jays are our performing it might be because -18 of the -31 comes from just two games where we got clubbed to death by Houston 10-0 and 8-0. Most of the other losses have been fairly close I think
  3. Exactly. "They did nothing to fix the offense" Yeah nothing except go after the only two proven elite bats available, but the chances of getting either was basically nil right from the start. They really didn't have much choice other than shore up the D and pitching and hope Springer, Vlad, Kirk and Varsho brought their bats this season. Well, Varsho did but sadly Bo has negated that improvement by completely crapping the bed this year. The other option was to make things even worse by handing out massive deals to Chapman and Bellinger. Imagine where'd we be now if they'd made that mistake. Screwed this year, and screwed for the next many years too with those contracts on the books. At least this way they are positioned to make a clean transition from the Bo/Vlad era if things don't get turned around this season.
  4. Yes I'm seriously asking what they should have done. People keep saying they should have pulled some sort of miracle out of their asses or given bloated contracts to risky players which likely would have made things worse in the long run.
  5. That's because the 3rd, 4th and 5th best free agents were basically going to be over paid garbage the minute they were signed.
  6. I agree, and I'm saying there doesn't appear that there was much that they could about it. I mean it's easy to sit here and cherry pick the odd guy that was available and is off to a good start this year and say they should have got him, but I can cherry pick just as many guys that people here wanted the Jays to get who are off to s*** starts too. That's the point, nothing out there was a sure thing like Ohtani and Soto. And for the players off to hot starts that were available, maybe the Jays talked to them and got shot down.
  7. Yeah, and you don't know that "they didn't even try" I mean, unless you were sitting in all the talks they had with players, agents and other teams execs
  8. First off, I don't care if they fire every single person in the front office and replace them with BJMB members, I just want a winning team. But I'm going to ask this what feels like the 5,678th time....please tell me what in the flying f*** the FO was supposed to do to "fix" the offense? They tried for Soto in a trade, too much to give up for one year of Soto. They threw $700 million at Ohtani. After that there was sweet f*** all that they missed out on. Everything left after Ohtani and Soto was just more question marks, not a damn thing that was for sure going to "fix" the offense.
  9. Oops I was wrong, it was a 5 pitch K
  10. Berrios rolling now, too bad about the home run earlier. Now it's time for another Springer 1 pitch out? Or maybe a 3 pitch strike out?
  11. Manoah gave up a dinger in the 6th, but two more K's 6 P 12 K's 2 walks 2 hits 1 run 92 pitches, 62 strikes. I'm only following on the gameday, slider is 82 MPH, 4 seam 93-95 MPH and tons of swing and miss. (obviously)
  12. This team lol Base running error, take a drink
  13. Jesus Springer. Take some effing pitches man
  14. Manoah is shoving tonight so far. 4 IP, 7 Ks, 1 hit, 1 walk, 0 runs 57 pitches 39 strikes
  15. No Varsho sucks Kirk has been hitting well lately but man it sucks not to have Jansen in there, of course he isn't going to DH with Turner doing his thing. Can he play RF? haha
  16. Nowhere to go but up haha' I'd rather watch him struggle and (most likely) improve than to watch Biggio hoping he might improve which he won't, he is what he is....replacement level bench player.
  17. I wish they'd give Biggio the Espinal treatment when KK is back. Trade him for a minor league arm or two if there are any takers. When KK is back it should be either Biggio or Vogelbach getting punted, I don't see the point in sending Barger back down. Keep giving him MLB reps. At some point BOTH Biggio and Vogelbach should be punted so we can get yet another Bison up here, unless Votto comes back and actually looks like he might be useful.
  18. Never doubt Nate "The baby faced killer" Pearson
  19. And now it should be 7-4 with a sac fly, 2 out and 1st ad 2nd Ump legit cost at least a run
  20. Jesus christ get the robo umps up here already. Should be 1st and 2nd 1 out
  21. That was 6 inches outside you f***ing moron
