  1. Its been noted now many times, the Jays offensive stats and league rankings right now are all very similar to what they were at this point last season. Hopefully they start to heat up with the bats soon and go on a nice summer tear. Sucks to be this far back in the division, but only two games back of a wild card, this team is not even close to being buried here. It'd be really nice to get Kirk and Bieber back though.
  2. Its hilarious. Guy pitches a gem and they lose 2-1 If they score 5 he puts up a rare stinker.
  3. I've been posting in here almost every day, you simpleton. And I did not have to wait very long for you to out yourself.
  4. See. You're exactly what I said you were a couple weeks ago.... "People like you always worry, that's your schtick. That way if it goes off the rails you can have your "I told ya so's" but if it goes great you can enjoy the success and winning with the rest of us." Always whining, always complaining, and just like a pig in s*** when the team struggles so you can act like you're actually smart.
  5. Hopefully Yariel is able to find sustained MLB success this time around. The swing and miss is tantalizing. The high walk rate is scary. Seems like the Jays are just teetering on the edge of something great with their pitching staff.
  6. Well that'll help the ole run diff / pythag Do it again tomorrow plz
  7. It's a small sample size but 0.3 fWAR and 160 wRC+ in 27 PA's for Pinango. My left eye is now twitching.
  8. It's going to be a fun summer when the bats get going and we're rolling Cease/Gausman/Yesavage/Bieber out there on a regular basis. Has there been any updates on Bieber lately? Is he at least throwing?
  9. Cole will come back and shove, because Yankees, that's why.
  10. Definitely not writing him off, it's a fairly small sample size. I was just legitimately shocked, the guy destroyed rookie ball last season.
  11. Juan Sanchez has a .321 OPS in low A so far. Jesus Jojo Parker has gone ice cold.
  12. The Rays are an inning away from a 20-12 start. Man that organization is like annoying little turd that won't flush.
  13. You need some context though. In the inning where he gave up 2 runs (1 earned) Klemens hit a weak 77mph single, then Keaschall battled him for an 8 pitch walk (tip your cap), then he got a 65mph swinging bunt groundball out that advanced the runners, and then gave up a 70mph infield single that resulted in one run coming in and a throwing error which scored the 2nd run. That's not bad pitching, that's just s*** luck.
  14. If Patrick Corbin is this years Eric Lauer, who is Eric Lauer going to be?
  15. I get some folks are just really deep into their fandom, but my goodness why get that upset over something you have ZERO control over.
  16. Unfortunately yes, I thought this was going to be his year and he has elbow soreness before he even got started. Crazy. It's May and he hasn't pitched an official inning yet
  17. 14 to 1 K/9 to BB/9 Better get him up to AAA ASAP so his BB/9 can balloon Seriously though, one of these days one of these promising young relievers is going to dominate his way to AAA and then not get blown the f*** up once he gets there. It's going to happen, I can feel it.
  18. Waaaait a minute. This is the BP with Tommy Nance included? Can't be true. Whiffle's been spittin' "facts" haha
  19. Would also be nice if Little brought his AAA confidence and performance back to MLB. Seems like with his stuff, he could legit be one of the best lefty relievers in baseball.
  20. FYI, from April 29th to the end of the WS the Jays ranked 1st in batting average, 2nd in slugging, 9th in home runs, 1st wRC+ We're not buried yet. Popkins will rise again. I think we were all hoping they'd hit like that all season, unlike last year, but injuries haven't helped.
  21. Well if we're fast forwarding 12 months, let's rewind 12 months... April 28th, 2025 Jays ranked in MLB: ISO .104 (29th) wRC+ 86 (23rd) HR's 15 (29th) SLG% .343 (27th) They need to get Kirk, Barger and Springer back and get that summer heat going. I just hope injuries don't drag us down all season.
  22. The Phillies and Red Sox didn't play in game 7 of the World Series just months ago, and neither team has $100+ million worth of payroll on the IL since basically day one of the season. You really think JS is on the hot seat? Very unlikely.
  23. No game thread today? What are we expecting from Trey today? 14 hits, 7 walks and 10 earned in 12 IP in the minors. Only 2-4 IP per outing. He did K 16 though. Just chalking those numbers up to him fine tuning s*** and not caring about the stat line so much?
  24. It's Atkins fault. He should have signed 3 more MLB starters and went into the season with 12. What kind of idiot doesn't start his team off with 12+ MLB starters?
