  1. Bieber will probably suck the rest of the season, sign a pillow deal somewhere else next year and put up a 4 fWAR season.
  2. I don't see any issue here. Nance is nothing more than cheap RP depth and he's 35 years old with 0.0 fWAR in 33 IP and he has zero options. The Jays season is not going to live or die because of Tommy Nance. I'll take a lottery ticket for him happily. The Jays will replace him quickly if they haven't already.
  3. The Jays may sell (I doubt it) but either way, this trade doesn't really signify a sell off.
  4. I'm hoping Atkins pulls something out of the blue like trading for Buxton or something, although that seems unlikely as the Twins are somehow closer to a WC spot than we are, with a much better run diff too. Adding a bat like that to the middle of the line up could ignite the whole team IMO, plus he's insurance for CF moving forward with Varsho a pending free agent.
  5. Vlad, Springer, Kirk and Bieber have been complete ass. Gausman has sucked for the last month. These guys need to get their crap together. If even a couple of them do the Jays could get on a roll. Oka - 2.0 fWAR Valenzuela - 1.6 fWAR Giminez - 1.5 fWAR Varsho - 1.2 fWAR Clement - 1.0 fWAR Lukes - 1.0 fWAR Nothing eye popping but all these guys have been steady. Vlad/Kirk/Springer combined just 1.4 fWAR Also of note, Bieber and Scherzer combine for minus 1.2 fWAR in just 35 combined IP. BRUTAL With Scherzer rehabbing and likely back soon, those two have to be better.
  6. Hopefully two months from now we're looking back on the last two games of this series as the turning point.
  7. Thanks. Signal back just in time to catch the strike out pitch
  8. Jesus christ the guy is 4 outs away and a storm comes and blocks my satellite signal. Like seriously?
  9. Well, they are trying very hard to make the FOs direction at the deadline a very easy decision. Too bad that just about all the players on expiring contracts are playing like bags of wet crap. Bieber, Gausman, Springer, Varsho, etc Just not getting the job done.
  10. Gausman and Bieber really struggling, I guess the good news is they're both FA's after the season. If they can't turn it around you can just move on with Cease, Yesavage, Miles and Ponce. Vladdy is the scary situation.
  11. I see Tiedemann pitched on the 16th and 20th and has since gone back in to the ether once again. I mean, it was two whole innings in 4 days and all.
  12. Odd take..... Rogers runs one of the highest payrolls. It'd be even higher if more guys would take their money, like Ohtani, Soto or Tucker. The front office has done their job too. They doubled down on a team that won 94 games last year and came within an inch of winning a world series. This is on the players who are underperforming and a terrible run of injury luck.
  13. In other news....Jake Bloss sucks 4 IP, 11 hits, 11 earned runs, 1 walk, 2 Ks, 4 HRs given up and he's sporting a 14.29 ERA in AAA so far
  14. Perry shoved in his AA debut. 7 Ks, 2 walks, 1 hit, 0 runs in 3 IP
  15. Perry using the Yesavage development ladder since coming back from last years injury
  16. This is the weirdest season i can remember. There are only three teams in the AL with positive run differential, one with +2, one with +8 and then the goddamn Yankees with +113 It almost feels like we should throw in the towel, this team cant seem to get their sheeit together, but somehow we are currently in a wild card spot lmao. Like WTF??
  17. Well, this is a pretty important stretch coming up. Jays are getting Bieber back and will hopefully be running out the best rotation we've had all season provided there are no more injuries. On top of that, after today they play 10 straight games at home against sub .500 non-playoff teams that are all below them in the standings. Don't f*** it up fellas.
  18. Too bad, I'd hoped Little and Rodriguez would find their confidence in AAA and return as better relievers. They have so much swing and miss. A back end of the bullpen where Little and Yariel both have the ability to command their grade A stuff, Hoffman doesn't get BABIP'ed to death and you add them to Rogers and peak Varland....I mean I want to live in that world. Any lead after the 6th inning would be nailed down 99% of the time.
  19. Basically it goes like this, if the other team scores runs it's John Schneiders fault. He either left the starter in too long, took him out too early, or took him out at the right time but used the wrong reliever.
  20. I just want to watch them roll out Cease, Gausman, Yesavage, Bieber, and whoever (Corbin I guess) for the next couple of months. Is that too much to ask? Hopefully the injury bug can let us enjoy the summer.
  21. Really good to see Yesavage have a start like that, aside from the 8th inning. He'd had a rough go of it lately, especially with the walks.
  22. Man, what the hell is wrong with Adames? Can't hit or field this year apparently. My first thought when the Giants were mentioned was hell yeah let's get Adames. He's Giminez but with a 100 wRC+ bat instead of 70 wRC+ bat for $10 million more. Just tanking this year though apparently.
