  1. If IF depth becomes a problem it'll be easy to trade for IKF later in the season. Haha
  2. Well to be fair we don't know what peak Ponce is yet, but yeah I hope he lights it up this year. I would have included peak Sherzer too but the guy is north of 40 so we won't ever see him at his peak again, although I hope he has a strong year too. To me though, the 4 I included are the real meat of the rotation and if healthy should make up what will be the post season rotation when/if we get there. That's why I singled them out and didn't include Ponce, Sherzer, Lauer and Berrios.
  3. Let's hope when September rolls around he have peak Gausman, peak Cease, peak Bieber and peak Yesavage all healthy and just mowing teams down.
  4. Any other division and I easily vote 96+ In the AL East, I think 91-95.
  5. I do wonder how serious these injury concerns with the SPs are. Hopefully it's mostly just load management with Berrios, Bieber and even Yesavage who still hasn't pitched in ST yet. They have 8 quality MLB starters who don't belong in AAA, so they have to keep some of them out one way or another, Hopefully that's mostly what this is.
  6. It's spring training numb nuts Some people wanted to DFA Springer after last years abysmal spring training
  7. We should DFA Bob Gratton
  8. Varsho stays healthy and puts up a 5 win season
  9. It'd be fantastic if guys like Kasevich and Schreck shoved this season. Would take the Jays already solid depth and make it incredible.
  10. Please be good, please be good, please be good...
  11. I still can't believe the Jays let Ryan Yarbrough get away.
  12. Big difference between "desiring possibly being traded" and straight up demanding a trade. Lauer should just shut up and pitch.
  13. It was pretty evident at the end of last season from Sherzer's interviews that he was very likely to return to Toronto when the dust settled.
  14. Why even play the games...lets use your doomsday scenarios as gospel and call it a season lol.
  15. Pretty much the exact same s*** you were spewing last year. Always in full panic mode over all the "massive" holes in the line up.
  16. Straw had almost 300 PAs last year because Varsho spent months on the IL I suspect Straw won't get that much playing time again as long as Varsho stays healthy,
  17. I'm fine with a Varsho/Barger/Lukes outfield and Straw as the 4th. Hopefully Loperido and/or Schreck take the opportunity and run with it. Not surprised to see the usual chicken littles panicking though lol
  18. When the Jays basically already have 7 high quality SP's on their active MLB roster, yet are still rumored to be chasing more high quality SPs it makes you question everything.
  19. Good depth piece for sure, but Max isn't going to AAA so it doesn't make much sense unless he's going to sit out until injuries pile up or there are already some more injury concerns we don't know about.
  20. Yes please. Holy crap what a rotation the Jays would have, especially if Bieber is healthy.
  21. 4/$60 million for Varsho would be some tidy work. Wish he wasn't a Boras guy.
  22. Would have been nice to get Tucker as that elite OF bat, but the OF depth is solid. Varsho Barger Santander Lukes Straw Springer Schneider Loperfido Clase Schreck Varsho and Springer are the only ones not under control past this season.
