  1. Whats the latest on Tiedemann? Hopefully he's ready to go by spring training. I guess the low bar for expectations on him is that he actually stay healthy all season and still has electric stuff in AAA. But it sure would be nice if he came out of nowhere and shoved in 2026 as a legit MLB starters option by May or June.
  2. Apparently on Blair and Barker today they say we should expect to see Varland starting next season. I'm certainly not against stretching him out and seeing how it goes.
  3. Ugh I don't like thought of torching our beautiful infield defense with Saurez butchering plays at 3B all season long.
  4. If you're worried Ernie will go from 90 wRC+ to 70 wRC+ I guess it could happen, I don't see the glove regressing though. At worst he'll be a ~2 fWAR defender batting in the 8 or 9 spot IMO. On the flip side, if Giminez can go from 70 wRC+ to 90 wRC+ he probably has a 3-4 fWAR season incoming.
  5. If Bo doesn't come back I wouldn't bother chasing another MIF in FA I'd just put Clement at 2B and Barger at 3B, and then you have Jiminez and Kasevich for depth. Kasevich supposedly has a real good glove and is hard to strike out. Could be another Clement. I would go hard after Tucker or Bellinger though.
  6. 10-14 looks a lot better than 0-6 but not as good as 11-13 😔
  7. With Yesavage's meteoric rise this season he is obviously 99.9% untouchable. It's not like he was torching AAA and then his season ended. The dude blew the doors off the best teams in the MLB playoffs on the biggest stage. Every MLB start he's had so far has been pressure packed with everything on the line. He looks like he'll immediately slot into one of the top 3 spots in the rotation and likely excel, and for dirt cheap. The Jays aren't trading him for an older SP ace who has 1 year left of control and will cost $300 million to keep around.
  8. Varsho had 20 this season with half a seasons worth of PAs And do we really think Springer is going to go into the tank again next season? Could easily have 5 guys hit 30+ bombs next year. I don't think anyone would fall out of their chairs in surprise if it happened.
  9. You know they absolutely will, but these little pricks never pick us. He'll probably end up on either the Yankees, Mets or a Cali team.
  10. How good do we think Barger is going to be next year? Dude struggled hard the last couple months of the season but then demolished the post season like a stud against some of the best pitching on the planet. We looking at 35 bombs, 130 wRC+ and 3.5 fWAR season incoming?
  11. EFF me. The Red Sox with Crochet/Skubal? The Yankees with Cole/Skubal/Fried/Rodon/Schlittler? Please don't let either of those happen.
  12. I think it's hilarious there is still one idiot left running around calling for Atkins head after the season we just witnessed. And it's not just the one season. This team has been in the post season 4 of 6 seasons now and as many of us have said, the GMs job is to build a team/core that can get in multiple times over a 5 to 10 year period and hope that they have everything go right in at least one of those playoff appearances and win it all. They were literally one inch away from doing it this time. And most of this team is set to return, this probably won't be their last crack at winning it all. Atkins is responsible for the team with BY FAR the best winning percentage by decades in team history. And yes, I realize they spend a lot of money, but so do the Yankees and Red Sox plus we've also got the pesky ass Rays in this division too. He's done a fantastic job overall.
  13. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how far they will go with the payroll. Honestly, I would be more than happy with just two out of three of Skubal / Bieber / Bo. And literally any two of the three. I think the offense can survive without Bo if they won't push the payroll that high.
  14. I now he'd never do it, but I'd love to see Bassitt back as a reliever haha. He was nails in that role this post season, game 7 home run not withstanding. Love Sherzer and Bassitt, but I hope to see much higher ceiling options brought in to fill out the rotation. Still not sure what to make of Bieber. He was pretty good, but not "ace" good. Certainly wouldn't be upset if they got him extended though, say 3-4 x $25 million or so? I mean I guess a dream off season could be... 1. Trade for Skubal and extend 2. Extend Bieber 3-4 x $25 million 3. Extend Bo to a Adames type deal and move him to 2B That way you can keep Lauer in the pen as a multi inning guy and 6th starter. Move Francis back into a reliever role Bastardo, if he's good can start out as a reliever on the MLB roster so you don't lose him SP 1 - Skubal SP 2 - Bieber SP 3 - Gausman SP 4 - Yesavage SP 5 - Berrios CL - Hoffman SU - Yimi SU - Varland LR - Lauer Build the rest of the pen from Flu, Little, Fisher, Rodriguez, Bastardo, Francis, Nance, Burr, Sandlin, Bruihl, Tate, Jennings, etc
  15. Trading for Skubal and signing him to an extension would be miraculous. Re-signing Bo and having him move to 2B would also be great.
  16. Disappointing end for sure, but it feels like the Jays org turned a corner this year and most of this team will be back next year. I doubt it will be their last crack at winning a World Series. Especially if Vladdy has found another level like he showed this post season.
  17. Most of the horses are set to return. They should have money to spend to patch the holes, providing they can lure some players to sign in TO. Hopefully this run helps with that.
  18. $500+ million luxury tax payroll wasn't enough, the Dodgers had to bogart all the luck too. Just phucking sickening watching those lucky pieces of shite celebrate another WS title after being handily outplayed and outscored over the 7 games. The wrong team definitely won tonight.
  19. If Bo re-signs that'll be the line up next year too probably, plus Santander. But, first things first.......
  20. While obviously all the winning doesn't hurt, he sure seems to rave about his team mates. Would be great to have him sign an extension with the Jays.
  21. Man I get a kick out of thinking about all the casual fans of other teams watching this World Series and googling "Nathan Lukes", "Ernie Clement", "Addison Barger" etc while thinking "who the eff are these guys?!"
  22. This is even better if Giminez is going to be the SS going forward, which I'm sure he will be. If he can put up a 90-95 wRC+ next season while playing SS he's probably good for 3-4 fWAR
  23. So pumped for Gausman to get the ball tomorrow, only thing is the offense seems to be very stingy with the run support when he hits the bump. Is it just me, or does anyone else notice this?
  24. Loving hearing Bo say his goal is to play his entire career in Toronto. Don't think I've ever heard of him saying something like that before. If he signs for around $25 million AAV and moves to 2B, this team is set up for a really nice potential multi year run.
