  1. The manager on this team is merely a marionette. Replacing one puppet with another solves nothing.
  2. With Green apparently unavailable, I agreed with the bullpen decisions. I am concerned that both Swanson and Romano may have been rushed, Pearson was doing well for us.
  3. I get that they're pretty good, like a lot of teams are pretty good. I just prefer the contenders that AA put together. That f***ing 2015 team, I had zero complaints at the end of that year. Didn't win but they were the best team. I went to the playoffs expecting to win with that team, I go into the playoffs hoping to win with our recent teams.
  4. How's it hindsight if we knew it at the time? 2 MVP caliber players, knowing one would be a free agent and leave, a Cy Young winner, all stars. When the hell were we going to have a better chance than that? That was arguably the best lineup we've ever had, with 1993 being a possible exception.
  5. 2021 was their chance, they blew it by not investing enough in the bullpen, they let the bullpen destroy them that season when they had an all-time lineup. They should have gone all in realizing that that was the best chance in whatever window they were going to have.
  6. No, success of a GM is based on talent accumulation. If a great team fails to win a WS, I don't blame the GM. This team simply doesn't have enough high end talent considering the payroll and the state of the system. They are content to be pretty good. They are in fact relying on the coin flip.
  7. The criticism of Atkins is that he can't build a winner. Not even close so far. Let me know when that changes dork.
  8. If Richards could ever command his fastball consistently, he can be an ace reliever. But I just don't trust his command in high leverage situations long-term.
  9. Has Varsho ever made contact with a pitch at the top of the strike zone inside? I'm not even kidding, I don't think he's physically capable. Has it ever actually happened even on a foul ball? Is there any actual evidence of this?
  10. f***ing exhausting watching an offense that struggles this badly to score for another season. Yankees keep trying to give us big innings but we keep refusing them.
  11. That'll work. Offense is still disgustingly s*** but I'll take the win.
  12. Just stop showing up to work Vlad. Please, I can't anymore.
  13. Last year he came here full of piss and vinegar looking to prove himself on a one-year deal. Then, after having a solid season, nobody wanted him. He returned disheartened.
  14. Varsho, one of the things you actually are supposed to do well.
  15. A reading from the book of Shea: Accountability is non existent on this team. If you can watch Guerrero constantly f*** up on the bases multiple times a year and not bench him a single time for it and then watch it catch up to you in the postseason when he makes one of the dumbest baserunning gaffes I've ever seen, then you can just forget about accountability ever being a real thing for this team. Thanks be to Shea.
  16. Well he's not, and he's spoken about how baffled he is about not getting any interest. As am I.
  17. Didn't Buck say that the Jays were intentionally trying not to do that this year? I too dislike the idea of personal catchers unless it's an unusual situation like a knuckleballer.
  18. Funny how he suddenly got patriotic when he needed a job. I still don't get why Brandon Belt isn't here, how much could he possibly cost at this point?
