  1. Excellent start by Bassitt. Seattle sucks at the moment. Important to take advantage of that, they should be in the mix when it's all said and done.
  2. Nice to win the home opener. Nice job by Berrios.
  3. How could you be a major league third baseman and f*** that up?
  4. I wanted to trade him two off seasons ago. People are still blind and can't see what's painfully obvious.
  5. Offense is still utter s***, but thank you Yankees. We need it and we'll take it.
  6. That's the thing, it's the lack of real upside. Obviously, several players aren't going to continue to hit in the .100's, but there's not a lot of upside; there's no superstar talent. Bo is an all-star, Vlad is only okay. Turner might turn in a good season. Jano and Babe, if given an opportunity, can hit a lot of bombs, but compared to the teams we're competing against this just ain't it. The lack of urgency from the front office over the past two offseasons, outside of the Ohtani business opportunity, has been staggering and disheartening. Not just the offense but we also have no real starting pitching depth if injuries or ineffectiveness should strike, just a bunch of useless warm bodies.
  7. If you're going to move Moreno though, you make it part of a real blockbuster. Not Daulton f***ing Varsho
  8. Two unserious off-seasons in a row. So many fans are so f***ing blind.
  9. Who the hell could have expected that bringing back a worse offense than the one that struggled all of last season could result in worse offense.?
  10. Oof. It's getting ugly on the board. Gotta spread some love🫶🏼
  11. Saved by the Babe. It's going to be another season of butt clenching ball games, assuming our starter pitchers can stay healthy.
  12. Team struggled mightily with offense last year, they went all out on a generational talent, then fell into a deep depression and bring us IKF, Vogelf*** (as Belt rots away in free agency), a broken down, diminished Votto, at least Turner might be okay though 🤷🏻
  13. Why do people keep waiting for him to be the guy he was for 3 to 4 months while playing half of his games in minor league ballparks? For the vast majority of his career he has been disappointing relative to his raw talent. He's an okay hitter, he's not the generational talent people keep hoping him to be, probably because he doesn't have the work ethic or desire to get there. He may be one of those guys that will go elsewhere and suddenly put it all together when he finally matures.
  14. Is it? Jansen will help, I can see the lineup being good against lefties. But I think the bottom part of the lineup will be a black hole in most other games. The rotation has almost no margin for error. We have no reason to have faith in White, Francis might be okay for a start here and there on an emergency basis but I don't want to have to rely on him. Ricky T is young with not a lot of innings under his belt to come in and carry a load. We are basically relying on Mahoah not sucking and the rest of the guys suffering no significant injuries or backslide in performance. We were extremely lucky last year and we're hoping to be extremely lucky again this year with the rotation. I think we're pushing our luck.
  15. Yeah it's not really versatility if you don't play the positions well.
  16. Split is fine. Was hoping for three of four after the first win, especially considering the devastated state of Tampa's starting pitching. On we go.
  17. Stanning for Mitch White? Really?
