  1. Easily triggered today. Time of the month?
  2. That'll just make us look like big babies. There's no way we'll win it anyway. Let's just keep it pushing.
  3. Ohtani was a business decision not a baseball decision. He's a one-of-a-kind unicorn that brings in media and dollars that nobody else would. I don't believe they're going to do something like that again because there's nobody else in baseball like him. He transcends the game. Yankees might lock Soto up before then anyway, I don't mind the idea of the Jays bluffing and forcing the Yankees to up their bid, but I can't see us making a serious offer.
  4. No f***ing kidding. Our front office is not highly thought of by their own fan base.
  5. At least we saved our pen. We're going to need it.
  6. Smells like a whole lot of ********. But let's be honest, we had no chance to come back from a one run deficit.
  7. What is he supposed to say? That's literally what happened. If he was blinded by some sort of light or some sort of bug or debris hit him in the face at that moment or if his webbing broke, he would say that, but if it was just a flat out miss, what more can he say?
  8. Bingo. It's pretty clear that AA wasn't comfortable with whatever Shapiro was selling. AA is no fool.
  9. Because Shapiro ran him off.
  10. Pitching isn't elite. OF defense is, but not pitching. Not like we're the 90's Braves. Our advantage last year was depth and health. We'll see this year, but in the playoffs it's all about the front 3 in the rotation and back 4 in the pen. Depth isn't as much of a weapon anymore. Most playoff teams can match us or at least come pretty close with their frontline pitching come playoff time. It wasn't as much of an advantage last year as people here made it seem despite the teams impressive team ERA. Looks like we're going down a similar path this year.
  11. People just don't get it. This is an okay team, it's just an okay team. This is supposed to be our competitive window and the plan is to hope that enough dominoes fall our way that we squeak into the playoffs as a wildcard and then hope that somehow our inept offense can beat the great offenses that we would have to face in the postseason against pitching that can very easily match ours.
  12. Yeah we've fallen a long ways from the Donaldson, Bautista, Edwin days. Win or lose the games are f***ing dreadful to sit through. This team does not inspire confidence.
  13. It has, it's going to happen sometimes, the terrible offense happens all the time though.
  14. Tough to watch these winnable games slip away because of this terrible offense.
  15. No it's not and nor was the post that I made that got your panties in a bunch. Be gone now.
  16. Yes all the time actually. You took a level-headed post and decided to make it into a war for no reason just because I made it.
  17. I wouldn't give up on Bo, he has been as consistent as consistent can be in the last few years. Vlad on the other hand, you can dump him into Lake Ontario.
  18. I would have been happy with that.
  19. Oh well, we have models that tell us about his future after 50 pitches how silly of me. Go ahead and tell me all about his future.
  20. Well if that's what it seems to you then you can't read properly. My point, clearly, is that there's no reason to have confidence or not have confidence, he's pitched what 12 major league innings? Literally we know almost nothing about him yet.
  21. Yes I'm scared of singles that was exactly the point I was making you f***ing idiot.
  22. No, I mean like a big strikeout filthy type pitcher. Not a groundball guy.
  23. Good job, but do we have the offense to come back from two runs?
  24. When's the last time we had a true lights out lefty in the pen? Cecil? I think it's something we desperately need.
  25. They had some good at bats off him. This is why you can't overreact to a couple starts, we still have no idea how he will fare in the long haul against major league hitters nor do we even know what his best role is yet.
