    Maybe you can argue that Iglesias should have been in for two innings to begin with, but it certainly wasn't egregious not to do so especially if you want him available tomorrow. Fans just doing what angry fans do.

    I know you've been dying to say something stupid like that all season but they won 89 games in the toughest division in baseball, so clearly they're pretty good. Clearly better than the Blue Jays, very clearly.

    Would be a bargain and very welcome signing. Something about the Blue Jays, for us or against us, brings dominance out of this man.

    Not necessarily, because we don't have the wildly expanded rosters of past years in September, the pitching in particular could be pretty good even if they aren't really trying. There will still be a couple of regulars. Yes the team that's going all out should still have the advantage, but they will also feel the pressure.

    I have never personally seen three triples in a game, at least I can't remember seeing it.

    f*** everyone except the Brewers the Tigers and Arizona if they make it. I would never root for a division rival and I would never root for anything attached to New York or Los Angeles. I would root for the Padres except I can't stand some of their players. I'm so bored of the Braves.

    I wouldn't be bothered by seeing none of our bullpen back, except Yarbrough.

    Kirky is surprising with his overall defensive execution, credit where it's due. He's a valuable catcher. Maybe that's part of why he hadn't been hitting as well, he's been focusing on the defensive side of things. It would be nice if he can become more consistent on the offensive end. He has it in him and could be a top 2 or 3 catcher in the league.

    He's overpaid while he's not pitching relative to the market. It's also only year one. I always felt it would be a terrible investment overall but would be a hell of a lot of fun for a few years at least.

    Oh relax. I marvel at it, but I'm a Jays fan first and a baseball fan a distant second. I spent half an hour chatting with some buddies about the greatness of the game he had. But I don't know the man and I don't care about the team, so I won't be doing backflips for either.

    Actually, with the value he would have added we're probably in a playoff race especially since we're not selling at the deadline. Be that as it may, it's not rocket science to understand why he would pick the Dodgers over the Blue Jays. That doesn't make me feel any better.

    This all just adds to the pain. Hopefully he's a dud for the second part of that contract.

    Ryan Yarbrough has to be the greatest pitcher of all time. Every time I've seen him in my life whether against us or for us he's the most unhittable man I've ever seen. I don't know what his advanced numbers are and I don't really give a f***. I want this guy around until his arm falls off. Which probably won't be anytime soon because he throws freaking 87 mph.

    Even if it all falls to s***, we'll never forget the Bowden Francis run of 2024. Like Lonny Bohonos in '99 for Leafs fans. The real ones will always remember.
