    Absolutely. There is no comparison between Witt and Vladdy. Witt is already a far better player and his growth has been on a steep incline. He almost has to come down a bit because it's hard to be much better. I'd lock him up also.

    The majority of Torontonians are still sane and rational people. Just certain parts of old Toronto, and some young people, especially white chicks, they tend to be the woke saviours. They have some sort of weird complex.

    I mean, commenting about tariffs COULD be interpreted as demonstrating political allegiances although you can still support either side and still think people are dumb for not knowing how tariffs work. However having a certain image next to your username on EVERY SINGLE post you make most definitely is demonstrating your political allegiance 100% of the time. For the record, I don't personally care dude but if you're going to throw stones from glass houses...

    Definitely. I was worried that maybe they had convinced themselves that he was worth keeping around, but thankfully not. But it is yet another hole in a team that seems to be digging more holes and filling none.

    I wouldn't have wanted Snell for that price. I suspect that'll be the case for most free agents. The best thing that could happen to this organization is that the market slaps down their ridiculous efforts to rebuild the team through free agency so we can get on with the rebuild/retool that's required. Snell is off the board, Soto was never really on it for us. Please don't go blow your brains out on the Santander's of the world.

    Doesn't make sense to me either. They won't get Soto, which probably allows them to fill more holes as a result, but while I admire Rogers' willingness to spend, I think most people see this attempt to fix poor drafting and development with gobs of money as an act of desperation and I tend to agree. Fixing a fundamentally flawed team with little internal talent through free agency makes for an intriguing offseason but it's not a prudent approach.

    Glad it's over with, happy for Teo. f*** everyone else. Apparently the Yankees face planted historically in front of their fans; you love to see it. On to the offseason... Oh and the goofballs who paid top dollar just to get ejected for trying to rip a ball out of Mookie's glove should be raped by cacti.

    I've always favoured trading Vlad and still do. I think they need a rebuild. But they won't. They're trying to save their jobs.

    I'm down to rooting for central teams. That's not a very reassuring feeling. I might even accept the Mets at this point and that hurts but beggars can't be choosers.

    I hope he's eating, sleeping, making some time for family and leisure and watching his coaches doing their jobs, because those are important. I can't believe there's anybody that really believes the net effect of a manager's job is critical, in this day and age especially. I believe in veteran presence more than I believe in that and I only slightly believe in veteran presence. But ultimately it's subjective so, whatever. Bottom line: I don't really care if our manager gets fired or not, that's the least of my concerns.

    No a manager does the lineup card and in-game substitutions and I'm sure a bunch of other crap that is now dictated by a statistical analysis. Having a TV host is a lot less dumb than thinking managers really matter that much. I don't think they ever really mattered much at all but they matter even less now to the point of approaching zero impact real fast.

    I didn't say there were no baseball people as managers I'm saying it's irrelevant now because it's all statistically driven. It doesn't matter who the manager is anymore.

    Given that having "baseball people" as managers are no longer relevant, just have Emily Agard go out there in the original counselor Troi uniform with a blue jays decal where the Starfleet logo goes and an earpiece for direct communication with the statistics department.

    Even going back to the Atlanta and New York double header, The last week of baseball has been fantastic.

    My hatred of the Dodgers and Yankees would overwhelm my love of baseball. It might be the one world series matchup I will never watch. I never watched any of the Yankees and Red Sox series' that everybody raved about. Including the Red Sox comeback. Yankees/Red Sox and Dodgers/Yankees might be the only baseball matchups I refuse to watch. As much as I love baseball, I think they would physically make me ill. I would be unable to feel any joy or excitement watching.
