  1. Am I dreaming? We may not see something like this for another 5 years considering the rebuild.
  2. Can we just bat Schneider and Jano on loop and forget the rest of the order?
  3. With the way our assets are devaluing themselves, nobody's going to want them.
  4. What else is left to say?
  5. I appreciate the pitching. I might enjoy it more if it wasn't happening against this team almost every game. So yes, zzzzzzz.
  6. Well they were. They had enough talent where it mattered, front of the rotation, back of the bullpen and some studs in the lineup. Pfaadt started to emerge in the postseason and that gave them that key third guy in the rotation. If you have a front three, a back end, and a few thoroughbreds in the lineup, you have a shot.
  7. 84 win team with Gallen and Kelly at the front of the rotation, Ginkel and Sewald at the back and Carroll, Marte, Walker in the lineup. They had real talent.
  8. Hey a win. How about that?
  9. It's over, the emperor has no clothes.
  10. I'm not assuming he will end the year where you think he will end the year, particularly offensively, and teams don't pay for defense. Not the way you're expecting. They pay for offense and they pay for frontline pitching.
  11. Carbon fiber submersible? Too soon?
  12. I blame that f***ing billionaire from shark tank. He allowed CAA to use him and that damn plane ride to panic the Dodgers and seal the deal with Los Angeles. That f***er should be seeing audits for the next 10 years. Treacherous piece of s***.
  13. I liked the Green signing and option. I'll stick my neck out on that. If it doesn't work out it doesn't work out but I thought it was worth the risk. As far as 2021 goes, knowing that might be the best year in our window even back then, I was willing to over invest in anything and everything.
  14. f*** him. I hope both his arms fall off and they have to replace them with his legs.
  15. This team has had a very lousy recent history of drafting and developing great players that became cornerstones for the Blue Jays even before this regime. Or even acquiring other teams' prospects to fill that role. We haven't had a prospect turned stud everyday player since who? Delgado? Bo has been very good but not quite that level. Vlad showed only a glimpse. Haven't developed a stud ace since...Doc? There have been some guys that had success with other teams, some decent players that weren't necessarily studs. But the last 30 or so years have been very thin in that regard. I know such players don't grow on trees but come on. At some point you just start to feel cursed.
  16. Let's offer them generational player Vladimir Guerrero Jr. for that slug.
  17. I stand by what I said. Teams won frontline talent in the playoffs. He's not a front of the rotation arm nor a top of the order type of bat. He has value but not like that.
  18. Not buying it, if Gausman returns to ace form and Bo gets back to being Bo, both are easily more valuable because they are frontline talents. Varsho might be a platoon OF and defensive replacement/pinch runner on a championship team.
  19. Berrios is an easy sell. Dude is virtually a unicorn these days. Varsho isn't worth a lot. Doesn't belong on the list with the potential of the other 2.
  20. People think we take "joy" in this. I take no joy in being in this spot, it f***ing sucks, but the quicker we move on, the quicker we can contend for real. It's just that some of us realized we needed to move on sooner than others. We wasted time and lost asset value on a fraudulent team that was never a real contender. The window was 2021 and it was missed because enough wasn't done to fortify the pitching, especially early in the season when we watched the bullpen tank game after game.
  21. How many franchises are potentially in a worse situation than us? Very little in terms of prospects, a major league roster that needs rebuilding but doesn't have a single superstar to trade, which is rare usually a team coming off a couple of playoff appearances would have at least one superstar but we have none. There's guys that have value, but at this point we're getting pennies on the dollar for a lot of guys, so there's only so much we can look forward to even if we rebuild. There's really not a lot of teams in a more perilous spot.
