  1. f***ing hate seeing people suffer like that. She's fairly young too. Completely sucks.
  2. Listen we can agree to disagree all day but the bottom line is this: You want to bet that this f***ing limp noodle team that has been a limp noodle for going on 2 years, will not only will somehow fight off more talented teams for what will likely only be one available playoff spot, but will go on some miraculous run and beat teams that are clearly more talented than them to win a World Series. Meanwhile the opportunity to get some much needed young assets gets pissed away because we're hoping to take lumps of coal and fart out diamonds. You have to play the odds, the mistake too many organizations make is they hold on too long for a window that's passed them by. If we don't start making moves this season we're holding on too long. None of this might matter, we might well be taken right out of the picture in the coming weeks, but if we somehow stick around, you will get your wish and this team's front office will s*** away our future in favour of continued mediocrity.
  3. The fact that you can't see that Arizona was clearly more talented I can't help you with, but putting Arizona aside, you're so focused on the win/loss record that you are losing sight of the more important point: it's about talent, frontline real deal talent. Who cares what our record is at the All-Star break? We don't have the talent and there's a real opportunity cost of chasing a worthless wild card spot and not getting assets that we desperately need. The 2021 Blue Jays were a great example of a team that should have done everything they can to chase that playoff spot because they had a f***load of talent, but this isn't that, I don't care what the record is, we can't get sucked in. Don't worry though, you'll get your wish if we are anywhere close because this front office will sell out our future to save their ass no matter how obvious it is that this team ain't good enough.
  4. The D-Backs weren't special, but they were clearly better than us and clearly better equipped to go on a run and they did. You continue to ignore the opportunity cost of a pointless wild card run. You aren't being realistic about this teams chances, and unfortunately, the front office doesn't appear to be either.
  5. What part of this team isn't good enough don't you understand? What is the point of sneaking into the third wild card, which is unlikely for this team anyway, if the team can't beat anyone good? It's not worth the opportunity cost of getting some much needed assets.
  6. I'm not sure Turner is worth it.
  7. Maybe all he needed was a chance
  8. Remember when even guys like Dave Winfield could lay down a bunt?
  9. Surely this is it. SURELY, this is it FFS. SHIRLEY!!!!
  10. In fairness, the Pirates are the best pitching team in baseball
  11. Cavan is the best window shopper in the history of the world.
  12. If they are going to do these ridiculous things, given that our "city" is basically Canada, they should've had a landmark from all the major cities across Canada along with the dome and CN Tower.
  13. Just bunt the win home you pathetic f***s.
  14. I will expect nothing ever from him and hope to be pleasantly surprised.
  15. I was also confused by how angry everybody seemed to be at him. I assumed that there must be some other history but didn't care enough to look into it. Based on his actions alone I didn't think it was that big of a deal, especially considering the stuff with his son, which I didn't know about but I'm sure they did.
  16. Bullpen is still extremely iffy for me. Yimi is great, the rest all have some level of concern be it health or underlying stats. In fact, of all our pitchers only Yimi and Kikuchi have really stepped up their game vs last year. You could sort of see it coming from Kikuchi, Yimi was a surprise, but others are roughly the same or have worse underlying numbers.
