  1. Correct. The board would be better without several of dipshits - you included. You think that opinion and comment is moronic? Welcome to how most of us feel when Jays24 or you post. Enjoy it.
  2. I heard Atkins told Bo to tank the season just to piss Jays fans off.
  3. What's he going to do? The only option available right now is to just sell everyone and rebuild. Is that what you want?
  4. Schneider should pull his batters this inning and put some random pitchers in to hit. Need an alpha to send a message to these clowns. Make them all feel shame.
  5. Why are we wasting Garcia in a game we can't win? Bring out the fireman Nate Pearson instead please.
  6. The coaches must be f***ing with his approach. Their philosophy on hitting just doesn't work. Barger went from hitting everything in sight, to hitting nothing since he first spoke with Don Mattingly and Guillermo.
  7. Quick - trade him now!
  8. He plays essentially everyday now. Has for weeks. Even against high velo guys like Glasnow.
  9. Just a heads up that I'm going to block you now. Your AIDS to this message board. Nobody wants you here.
  10. Well Barger is a bust. Send him down. Atkins fault.
  11. Yeah - most teams light up Glasnow. I don't know what's wrong with the Jays.
  12. You literally don't cheer for this team and never will.
  13. Yep - it's over. Go find a new team to cheer for.
  14. Another game that's over by the 3rd inning. Great stuff.
  15. What else do you want the team to do? Just release him and give up on the talent? They went to arbitration with him this year. Did you want them to trade him for a box of peanuts like the A's did with Carlos Pena? Put him in the corner with a dunce cap on? He's too talented to just give up on when you'd get nothing for him right now. You continue to support him in hopes he finally figures it out. I'm not sure there's a better path, but you tell me. I've hated Vlad for several years now. f***ING HATE him. Biggest waste of talent in Blue Jays history...but even I can see the options are unfortunately limited.
  16. I don't get your point. Turner fixed his swing in the offseason when he was a FA. He signed with the Dodgers on February 5, 2014. Highly doubtful the Dodgers did much to retool his swing. Max Muncy was a minor league free agency who changed his swing in the offseason. Dodgers signed him on April 28, 2017, so again, he wasn't working with the Dodgers when he retooled his swing. Dodgers hired a smart guy to come work with them - that's great. Jays and every team also have smart technical hitting coaches. Why couldn't that guy fix Bellinger? Lux? Outman? No coach has a 100% success rate. It's on the players a lot more than anyone else.
  17. Read it again. These are adults, not children. Let's not act like putting adults in a timeout is often successful. There are other ways to try and hold him accountable without taking him out of the lineup or putting him 7th to feel shame. What he's saying is "There's only so much any organization can do. The players have to want to improve and make changes. The desire to be great only comes from within". Nobody was trading Vlad after 2021. 2022 showed the cracks, but you'd appreciate they wanted a chance to work with him and try to help him. 2023 was s***, but now his value is at an all-time low - trading him now is questionable. 2024 - the shine has fallen off, but you're still hopeful he finally figures it out and either leads the team, or rebuilds his value. Is there a window in 2022 when the team realizes that Vlad is a lose cause, but still has enough trade value to get a good haul for him? Yes - there probably was. Not sure how long that window was open, but we were a playoff team that year, so dumping him for prospects would have been a tough pill to swallow. Trading him for an equivalent MLB talent player so you can continue pushing to win is always difficult. Here come the armchair GM's again...
  18. Major swing changes like Turner, Muncy, etc. made are done in the offseason. The Jays can't require or force anyone to do s*** in the offseason. They make the facilities available and offer the coaching, but it's on the players to want to make the changes. Players are accountable for their own success. Some acknowledge the issues and get in the lab to fix it all offseason. Some go eat tacos.
  19. Packers trade up and then go off the board with Evan Williams? Very odd. Hicks and TJ Tampa are both still there. I don't get it. The guy was projected to be a 6th rounder. I guess I should trust them after the drafts they've had the past couple of years, but seems odd right now.
  20. Seems about right. I like this statement that "players are accountable for their own success, we're doing everything we can to support him". 100%
  21. Man - I worry the Packer may regret passing on DeJean, but I like Cooper and Bullard in the 2nd round. Most ranked them as the top LB and S available - positions we needed badly. MarShawn Lloyd feels like a luxury pick and Ty'Ron Hopper seems like a reach in the 3rd round. Could have taken a chance on Payton Wilson (electric, but injury prone). I would have liked to see TJ Tampa picked to give us better depth on the corner. He's still there - maybe he falls. Tanor Bortolini could be another interior OL the Pack may target in Round 4. Incredible athlete, which the Pack love on the line. I thought the Bills might land Troy Franklin too....he could be a steal. I saw some project him in the late 1st/early 2nd
  22. I don't think anyone makes fun of Cito for his "pull dat ball" philosophy - unless they are complaining that he held back Olerud and Shawn Green because they didn't (or couldn't) buy into that philosophy. It was generally stupid of Cito to try and implement a "one size fits all" approach, instead of letting hitters play to their strengths. I'm sure it helped some hitters, but hurt others. He's just become a meme on here for that philosophy.
