  1. Still nothing from him. Shocking.
  2. What the f*** are you talking about? I've done absolutely nothing of the sort. Show some receipts tampon
  3. Can you imagine if we finish with 84 wins and go on a Diamondbacks run to the WS this year? How improbable would that be.
  4. I'm firmly on the sell everyone, rebuild train. This team f***ing sucks.
  5. injury prone you say? LOL - I'm kidding. I whiffed and didn't see he'd only played 8 games. He does only project for 0.8 WAR this year though and I think (and always thought) there was major risk he'd be a pumpkin this year. I thought LA was just throwing away that money. Maybe he's a nice guy in the clubhouse and that's worth $9M for a contending team.
  6. Too bad there's no historical data on the bat speed yet. Right now it's 71.1, which is 42nd percentile. He's never been a HUGE average exit velo guy - always around the 50th percentile, so there's a possibility his bat speed was never really elite and may not have declined significantly. That's speculation though. Will be cool in 5-6 years when we can track those changes better. I'm curious to see how much bat speed does decline as player age.
  7. Wicked. I was hoping our once generational talent with 1.5 years of control left would bring back the square root of f*** all. He just continues to f*** this team over sans lube.
  8. More incompetence by the Giants FO. People here bitch about IKF and Green signings. Farhan Zaidi gave $113M to f***ing Hoo Lee, who hits like Ryan Goins.
  9. For which side? I'm starting to lose track of the prospect scene... I'm going to assume you think Vlad is completely useless and won't fetch anything of value.
  10. https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2916516/what-trades-for-guerrero-bichette-could-look-like A little fluff article on what we could potentially get for Bo and/or Vlad. This is more useless than a Jays24 post, but nevertheless, kind of entertaining to start thinking about what the future may look like.
  11. He couldn't be any slower than Turner. Even with a peg leg.
  12. Playoff wins are all that matters. Look at the incredible job they are doing in Arizona. That FO knows how to win because they made the WS last year. Just don't look at this year where: - Carroll has turned into a pumpkin - Moreno isn't improving - Saurez is f***ing terrible - Alek Thomas never developed (they ought to have kept Varsho) - Pavin Smith is a bust - $42M to LGJ - Montgomery & Rodriguez have provided nothing - Lawler is injured - Druw Jones is a disaster I wonder if their fans are looking in, wondering if their FO has a major issue with draft/development and/or making stupid FA decisions - or whether an 84 win team's run to the WS last year is masking issues for the time being.
  13. Atkins should have kept Thornton and dumped Nate Pearson. What an idiot!
  14. It's really too bad we didn't sign Soler like most on here wanted. FA's are such a crap shoot. Most the FA signings this year have been awful so far (Montgomery, Snell, Candelario, Rodriguez, KK, Stro, Gurriel Jr., Garver, Heyward, Soler, Maeda, Turner, etc.). Outside of a very few each year, most FA's are just icing on the cake for teams. Guys who are helping put a core over the top. Most guys who are signed long term to be part of the core come with massive risk and $$$. The issue with this team is the core went rotten. We can debate who's fault that is (or if it's anyone's fault) all we want, but that's the issue. If Atkins was able to roll the dice and "hit" on most FA signings, he could mask the issue to an extent. That's been one of his strengths over the past 3-4 years. But no GM in history is immune to signing a FA bust or two. All FA's come with risk and probability of not delivering. Maybe Atkins was just lucky the past few years and that luck has run out. Again - this team could have signed Ohtani this year and we'd still be a "bad" team. I believe there's a lot more luck involved than people believe. LA signed Heyward and Teo this offseason. They used all their information, intelligence and scouting and the exact same people produced one good "hit" and a complete "whiff". Baseball isn't a perfect science.
  15. We've won 2 WS in like 45 years. We're probably not winning a f***ing thing under the next 3 GMs we hire and subsequently fire.
  16. high leverage RPers also tend to fetch good returns at the trade deadline. Every team is looking for another lights out arm. If he comes back healthy and pitching well, he'll be highly coveted.
  17. Dude - they aren't. That's the point.
  18. We have a fancy jacket to wear now! We may never lose again.
  19. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
  20. Thank god for DS and Varsho. They do make these games worth watching.
  21. It essentially is. 65.2 MPH swing speed. Kids on my U14 team swing harder. I've been a supporter of Biggio over the years, but I think it's time to move on.
  22. Oh good - you need to suffer like the rest of us. Biggio took note and followed suit.
  23. Did you tune in early enough to watch Vlad put that awful swing on a center cut fastball? From the best fastball hitter on the planet in 2021 to one of the very worst. It's like he's stabbing us all in the eye with a fork.
  24. Yeah - I like Barker now. Blair's a dipshit though.
