  1. Zooey Deschanel is pretty cute, although she has one hell of a man-jaw from certain angles. Gotta be a procedure out there to take a chisel to that s***, no? =/
  2. Good job man, that was an enjoyable read.
  3. This is just absolutely infuriating. The fact that half of us here saw it coming doesn't make it any less so.
  4. Same here. I tend to be a bit of an all-or-nothing thinker (see what I did thar?) and so I'm really into how they're going about their rebuild. No f***ing around, no half-measures, full commitment.
  5. Dagnammit. The Tank got slammed with a TOW tonight. Good to see Lawrie doing well though.
  6. I spent about 30 seconds trying to cook up a witty retort to this but came up empty.
  7. Whenever I find myself at home lately when they're playing they're on in the background on mute while I listen to music on my laptop while playing Civ 5. I look up at the tv maybe once every 5 minutes, so same here probably.
  8. Do you really believe that? So now fans of other teams are going to stop being baseball fans because those two teams are making large profits? Come on man....... Couldn't disagree more. Astros fans know what their FO is up to, and have swallowed/are swallowing their bitter medicine to get to better days, which look to be fast approaching because they have a savvy GM. Loria is Loria, he's just a terrible owner. I don't see why you care about a couple of teams making large profits, just seems like a strange thing to get hung up on. Who the f*** cares?
  9. No and no. What is so bad about pursuing a maximalist strategy within your chosen framework? I enjoy watching the special cases such as this, the GM-ing game and the various strategies employed are almost as interesting for me as the game itself, from a strategy viewpoint. Why should a team be forced to employ high-paid veterans when they're trying to start from the ground up? Makes no sense to me.
  10. Mmm hmm. This is exactly where my pessimist, miserable **** of a brain went as well the moment I read the thread title.
  11. The salary floor should be 25 players making the league minimum. That s*** is f***ing up the NHL, all it does it aid ridiculous salary-inflation amongst lower and mid-tier talent.
  12. Toronto sports curse. You're surprised? I fully expected that, along with the inevitable hot streak next month to f*** us out of a good pick. Fun fun fun.
  13. Anyone else here totally expecting them to go on a run in September? I swear man.................rage. Rage.
  14. Oh f*** off with the meaningless 9th inning comebacks to ensure we don't get to draft an elite prospect you f***s....... Damnit.
  15. South-west corner. You forgot to mention that part. It is key. Oh, and midnight, too. Always at midnight.
  16. True, I should have pointed out that I was thinking of the starting staff when I wrote that. The past 2 seasons have just been a shitshow of injury and under-performance from the starters, and it's been the source of our misery.
  17. I see three 4/5 guys there, not a single #3 for a serious contender. Oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh baby. Looking forward to summer 2014. Go TFC!
  18. Nope, I ditched junk food a long time ago. Now I binge on healthy s*** when The Munchies strike. Stop being fat, Hamburger Troll.
  19. This offseason is going to be very interesting, I can't see them standing pat. Got a nice rum n' coke buzz going right now. Just thought I'd share that. =D
  20. Or you could just, you know, tell me? =/ Scratch that, don't care enough. The Hamburger Troll kid is probably just a fatty-fat fat fat.
  21. What's with the burgers? You some kind of perma-virgin fatass food-fetishist or something?
  22. Exactly. Keeping Gibbons around for next year buys Alex more time in case things stay on this same s***** course next season. Like I said, I just don't see how AA can throw him under the bus at this point as that puts him directly in the fans' line of fire next year if things don't turn around. Of course, if Nadir and the rest of the **********s on the Board order it, Alex has no choice, but I just don't see that happening yet. The blame for this season is 70% on the starters, with 30% of the blame going to the Luck Dragon.
  23. The way I see it, the only way AA cuts him loose this offseason is if he's ordered to by the Board. Firing Gibbons opens up AA to a whooooooooole lot of criticism and second-guessing from the media-femme cockroaches, and puts a big fat target on his own back if '14 doesn't pan out, as he would be the next logical target for the Knee-Jerk Brigade at that point. Honestly, my gut puts the chances of Gibbons being fired this offseason at around 20%.
