    I have much more faith in our current GM when I am given the impression that he's actually being given the space to carry out his own responsibilities without some obese geriatric egomaniac moron interfering. Somewhere along the line AA decided to have a personality transplant, judging by his moves. I connect dots.

    Beeston needs to stay far away from this club for a little while and let his GM clean up this hot sloppy f***ing mess he was ordered to cobble together last fall for no particular reason. edit; and oh that's probably the first good news we've had since April from this team. Not too far to go before we crack the top-10 if we do a partial tear-down/re-stocking this offseason. As if, right?

    The most amazing thing to me about his career thus far is how injury-free he's been. For a colossal fatass he sure is durable. The power did disappear this year though, although to be fair we're in a deadball era now. 30 is the new 40 when it comes to teh dingerz.

    Such a depressing discussion. We need Boston's luck from this year to even have a chance of competing for the second WC spot in '14.

    I seriously doubt I'll even bother to watch the WS at all this year. Perfect end to Troll Season 2013. Jays eliminate themselves in April. Finish last in the division. And the WS is between 2 of the 3 teams I hate the most. Go f*** yourself, god.

    The only thing I expect from Morrow going forward is around 10 starts a year of xFIP 4.50 ball. I refuse to expect a 900 year old knuckleballer who has already HAD his peak seasons to "take a step forward". Lawrie I like, obviously. He'll net us a great haul in 2-3 years when the rebuild begins.

    I know I sound like a whiner in saying this, but when does s*** EVER go right for this team? In my 20 or so years following this club, every season we either have the pitching but can't score runs, or we have the offence but horrible pitching. Every season we were done in by being lacking on one side of the ball, and the last few seasons a new wrinkle has been added to this dance in the form of being snakebitten by injuries, especially to our starting pitching. It's just worn me down as a fan, to be honest. I barely even followed this club for the last 2 months of this season, this coming from someone who considers themself a borderline-obsessive fan for the past 2 decades. Something just feels different this time, I can't even put my finger on it. This franchise just feels cursed, man. It just feels like no matter who we pick up, the baseball gods will find a way to f*** us.

    I love reading the suggestions here and how people seem to believe that substituting Ruiz for JP and adding a #3 starter is somehow going to add us the 20 wins needed to sniff the playoffs. I've never been less optimistic than I am now as a Jays fan. We need everything to go right for us in '14, like what happened for the RedSox this year.

    Personally, I've always thought that it makes a whole lot of sense to have a righty hitting coach for righty hitters and a lefty hitting coach for lefty hitters. I could have sworn that there was mention of that on here a while back as being something that this club was looking to explore.

    Mmm hmm, only New York and Los Angeles metro census areas have higher population, we overtook the Chicagoland region a few years back. It cracks me up when people moot the idea of this team relocating. I mean, in a league where the likes of Cleveland, Cincinnatti and Milwaukee kept their teams through hard times? Sheeeit........

    And in what world is 2-3 years of contention some kind of promised land? WTF? Whatever happened to all that talk of building a quality organization that hopes to contend on a near-perennial basis based on maintaining a quality farm? Even allowing for their bait-and-switch lowered expectations, they f***ing failed hard.

    As silly as this sounds, I seriously do think that this was the case, to be honest. The second that obese old corpse started running his idiot mouth about us being close, when we were a ~75-win team, I got worried. Watch, in a year or two once both he and Alex get the boot, it'll come out that he was the one pressuring AA to accelerate the program because he wanted to be able to take increased attendance/revenue/ratings figures to his bosses at the board meetings. The decrepit old f*** with the do-nothing job should have kept his nose out of the baseball operations department and stuck to giving handjobs to his Lodge buddies out on the golf course and let his GM do his job without interference.

You see that s*** everywhere nowadays on the innernette, it's ridiculous. If you're over the age of 20 and actually think the correct term is "should of" instead of "should have", please kill yourself immediately in the most unpleasant way possible.
