  1. I'd be shocked if they fired him after this season. I'm very confident that he gets another year, it would be an absolute travesty if the man was thrown under the bus for a season which was derailed by every starting pitcher s***ing the bed. Basically, for the second year in a row, everything that could go wrong, did.
  2. This analogy is going over my head, I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or not. =/
  3. And just to address the OP, it's hardly fair to blame Gibbons for the fact that the team has received absolutely nothing from Dickey, Morrow, Romero, Johnson, or Happ. The ONLY starter that has had an acceptable season is Buehrle, and he's been nothing special. How you can blame that on the manager I do not know. Blaming the manager is the default position of idiot fans who are too stupid to logically assess any given situation. "Teem doing not gud?! MANGER FOLT!11!!1 FIYRE TEH MANGER!?!!!1!!" If anything, the man deserves a trophy for enduring this season without snapping on one of these clowns and putting them in intensive care.
  4. If you actually believe that the US president decides US policy, or the Canadian prime minister decides Canadian policy, you're either very stupid or just too young to know any better. Follow the money, brother. Namely, who gets to print it out of thin air and loan it to the government at interest.
  5. 37. lol Was/am stoned. ;-) edit: makes my original argument about us having won more WS than we could expect even moreso. We really have no right to complain.
  6. Missing out on Darvish really hurts even more now, as I believe the Dickey robbery doesn't take place in that case.
  7. We have existed as a team for, what, 46 years? Won 2 titles, for an average of one championship per 23 years. We've been lucky, looking at it from that perspective. If someone was really bored, they could calculate a nifty formula showing how many titles we could have expected to win during those 46 years, based on how many other teams existed during each of those seasons, assuming that each one had an equal chance of winning it each season. I am not that bored.
  8. That's what I've been feeling. if we win, great, and if we lose, there's a big fat silver lining. Still, my preference at this point is always a loss, at least until we're comfortably in the bottom 5.
  9. Gose 1-3, nice, the guy's looking pretty consistent. I missed the game, at work, but seems like he's got on base every game since he's been up no?
  10. Wasn't saying you called me that, just a throwaway comment. Meh, well-done ones perhaps, but they're the exception. I'm lucky in that I find lots of different body types attractive for different reasons.
  11. Tits are only like the 4th thing I look at on a girl, after ass, thighs/legs, hips, face..........
  12. The single was a line-drive back up the middle. WTF was wrong with it?
  13. Nah man, you always get those sickening taut stretch/pull marks where you can see the implants fighting against the skin. Looks painful/uncomfortable as hell. I like women who haven't been cosmetically butchered with bags of saline inserted into their chests, I guess that makes me a freak eh? ;-)
  14. Gose 2 big juicy ribeyes tonight to lead the team.
  15. You guys actually like fake tits? Yuck. Huge turn-off for me.
  16. Atta boy Gose. He always hits better up here than he does in AAA.
  17. You need a girlfriend. Badly.
  18. Forgot about him. Only caught the last couple innings and had the game on mute while surfing the innernette listening to music. Yeah, him too. And Rasmus, if he played.
  19. He's literally the only hitter in our lineup right now that I can feel good about f***ing us out of a tanking loss.
  20. But we need to wait another 2 years to start the rebuild, receiving lesser value for our declining stars, just because.
  21. I'm not gonna lie; I was rooting for them to tie it up. Tank baby, taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank. Tank.
  22. They lost me around 2000/2001 when most of the peripheral characters disappeared, Homer stopped having a job seemingly, and every episode centered around that ep's celebrity guest with a flimsy plot centered around said celebrity guest.
  23. -rofl- Man, I miss the late 90's back when The Simpsons actually had smart writers and the show was funny.
  24. So conflicted........rooting for the tank, but at the same time, f*** the Red Sox............
  25. Oh f*** off JP..........that hit with a RISP just bought him another year in management's good graces........
