  1. Sounds like great trade for A's. Thing is with minor leaguers there is a risk but major leaguers you know what you are getting. We traded Halladay, best arm in baseball at the time, and never got nothing back. Drabek was the backbone of the deal. He blew his arm out while Halladay went on to win Cy Youngs and pitch no-hitters. No doubt puts Oakland in driver's seat as AL champs.
  2. That would clean out Jays farm system
  3. Reminds me when I was young we drafted Matt Stark.
  4. I don't follow the Jays as close as most of you, baseball is not my top sport. However, of the few games I seen this year has to be Encarnacion. I almost said Buehrle as he reminds me of Jimmy Key in ways. But what amazing story EE is. Released 3 years ago, by Jays and Oakland, learns a new position now is one of most feared hitters in baseball
  5. Trade Rasmus for pitching. Team has excelled since he been out of lineup.
  6. Jays won't go thru another rebuilding program, still haven't finished their last one! Might trade a couple of free agents instead of losing them for nothing. Rasmus and Cabrera likely
  7. I think he gave Happ his contract, don't think he inherited it. Halladay trade he also tossed in 6 million. But overall, yeah AA has to be on thin ice.
  8. Close enough...in last 2-3 years posters on this board wanted each released. Most were irate they weren't
  9. What do Brett Cecil, Edwin Encarnacion and Adam Lind all have in common?
  10. Do you guys have this? What do think of it? Do they let u try it for a month?
  11. I always throw Law's opinon on the Jays out the window as they are bias.
  12. In this case don't sound like players can defer salaries
  13. Anthopoulos has handed out a lot of bad contracts ie. Morrow or Romero. Imagine Rogers has reigned him in. Last fall he said definite upgrade to pitching staff but it never materialized. Despite several good starters on the open market, even staying unsigned almost up to spring training.
  14. Are the games on tv?
  15. Similar to Nordiques return to QC. Need stable political situation in Quebec before MLB owners would move to Quebec. Long as there is threat to divide province in 3, owners won't touch it with 10 foot pole. As it will decimate Quebec's economy. Go back in same hole was in during PQ Referendum years.
