    Ty Cobb once stepped out of the box on an intentional walk attemps and hit a homerun. When he reached home, the umpire called him out because he had stepped out of the batter's box.

    With the 22nd pick, the Dodgers select Casey Gillaspie. There was a lot of comfort with Gillaspie within the Dodgers organization. He was one of the guys that we all liked. When you look at a guy and you like the person, you like the tools and he also happens to be in College, you can't really say no to that. He's go that great bat of course, great swing, geat power from both sides of the plate but he's also athletic, much more than you'd expect a slugging first baseman to be. To be honest, we were pleasantly surprised he was still there for us. There were a few organizations ahead of us that we felt would have a strong interest in him but he kept staying on the board and that made this decision pretty easy.

    With the 21st pick in the draft, the Cleveland Indians select Michael Chavis. "We looked at a lot of different guys but ultimately we kept coming back to Chavis. There are few things more valuable in a baseball draft or really in baseball generally than an impact bat and that's Michael Chavis. We think have one of the very best players in the draft and we're thrilled to make Michael a part of what we're building here in Cleveland."

    Thanks for your understanding. It's not that I couldn't have done and in fact my the cat was already gone when I talked to you. What happened is that right after that my fiancée proposes we do a big cleanup of the appartment as a way of taking our mind off of things and it really did seem like a good idea.

    Sorry about that. Things have gone poorly for me. This is going to sound crazy but my other cat died today.

    Agreed those are even worse. When the smug jerk says "you think?", I just want to punch him in the nose. Line deliverly is so crucial to commercials. You give an annoying line delivery, especially with the punch line, and it's just death because that thing is going to be repeated ad nauseum. After awhile, it's like nails on a chalk board.

    Both those videos are way better than the ones they air all the time. Why didn't they edit the commercial to include the damn punchline?

    Ah man... That's a great montage. Seeing the huge tool blow the save for the SAWKS is of course the best part.

    Melky is a common abbreviation for the Spanish name Melquiedes although in Melky Cabrera's case, his name is litterally Melky not Melquiedes.

    You mean the guy who uttered death threats? Yeah that's totally a PC over-reaction. It's not like death threats are illegal or anything.

    There were some flops in there too. Eddie Zosky, Josh Phelps, Steve Karsay come to mind right off the top of my head but you're right that overall the farm was pretty successful.

    I wonder what's the hold up? Why wouldn't they have moved him already? With the hot start maybe he stays in the OF after all.

    Casey needs to pitch better than he has so far if he's going to get the save here. No base runners would be nice.

    Rogers is the new Jeffress.

    Similar for me. The old dump in Seattle, the old Yankee stadium, the big O and the Rogers Center. I saw Fenway but it was the off-season. The old Yankee Stadium was easily the best of that lot but that's really not saying much.
