I don't think he ever mentionned crack. He talked about his "allergies" so presumedly, he's sniffing nose candy not smoking crack (and there's a huge difference between sniffing cocaine and smoking crack). Of course, he's kept posting during this wild sex weekend he's supposedly having so who even knows.

I'll probably just drop him at some point but dropping him to move prospects forward and dropping him for other projects is probably a wash anyways. I'm realizing that the challenge of doing a full on rebuild in this setup is that it's just not designed to allow you to hoard young players. It's easy to say, I'll just pick up a bunch of guys in case they turn out but you also need to graduate prospects to make room for new ones and after awhile you start running out of room especially if you feel a certain obligation to at least field an actual roster every week and not just punt slots. I'm down to only three bench slots that aren't occupied by DL or N/A and I have two farm players in the majors (Flores, Ramirez) who I should activate at the draft at the latest. I have one farm guy I'll probably have to cut (Fulmer) and one guy I'll either have to activate or cut (Nicolino). That would leave me with my best 6 prospects still in the farm. I fell like my really good prospects should be kept in the farm even if some are technically eligible for promotion. I have 6 picks to work with at the draft. A guy like McCarthy is basically just fighting for a job a this point.

I read he was a spring training this year so I assumed he was still in baseball but maybe he merely invited and then cut. He hasn't played this year. Maybe he's f***ed from the injury.

I don't understand for the life of me why they make the distinction. It shoud just be overturned, not overtuned. Whether it's not overturned because of a lack of evidence otherwise or because of confirming evidence is completely irrelevant.

If anyone would have met the kind of price that Shields and Dickey fetched last year, there's no way they would have even attempted this run with Price. As it is, they will probably still get about as good a return as they would have in the off-season if and when they move him at the deadline. He'll still be Q.O. eligible so he won't lose much value at all.

Although three outfielders on the 25 man roster makes zero sense, six outfilelders on the 40 man roster is probably just fine.

So all these adds for Million Dollar Arm made me want to dig up info on the Rinku Singh. I still remember when he signed with the Pirates and I figured he would have flamed out by now. He missed all of 2013 with injuries and although he's still relatively young at 23, he still hasn't reached the high minors but he's not a total write off either. The movie looks like it will be a bunch of gobbledy-gook though.

Is that low? High? I actually have no idea what a league average HR/9 is. It's not a stat I pay much attention to. I know it takes a good long while to stabilize.
