  1. winning pretty is over rated....I'll take it!
  2. how is Vlad missing those breaking balls in the middle of the plate.
  3. Hey man tweeted they don’t expect him to be out too long a few minutes agp
  4. That's the hope though! The Angels are the one team that would be stupid enough not to trade him. Come on Arte. Hold on to Ohtani!
  5. They are in first place. The Yankees suck. If now isn't the time to go for it, there isn't a time to go for it.
  6. The Orioles are by far the most logical place. 9 top 100 prospects. Several young studs already making nothing. A payroll of 90 mil that they should be able to add 70+ mil on. They have done a ridiculous job drafting and developing the past several years.
  7. Most didn't think KK would be this good or Varsho this lack luster. I'd extend KK in a heart beat.
  8. got to be a big sigh of relief for Cabrera. New team, tie game, dodger stadium and you make your first appearance. Nice job young man!
  9. All stats that require big numbers to tell a true tale. He's hardly played in Centre. Outfielder jump, arm strength and sprint speed are more tangible skill stats that give you insight into ability. If you think Varsho is Keirmaier you're delusional. To be fair, no one is Keirmaier. In pitching terms Varsho is a number 2 pitcher on defense, a number 2 pitcher on the base paths, but he's a number 5 or swing man with the bat. Coming into things I thought he was a number 1 like Keirmaier defensively, a number 2 on the base paths and a number 3 with the bat with potential to be a number 2. I hope he can turn it around with the bat.
  10. He's no where near Keirmaier's level. Keirmaier has a cannon for an arm. He's number 1 in outfielder jump. Varsho is 22nd. Keirmaier's ability to make the difficult catch leaping diving running into the wall is extremely high. Varsho is decent fielder, no question, but I don't think he's elite. Keirmaier is in different class for sure.
  11. aren't you suppose to throw him out rather than let him change his pants so he can't cheat anymore?
  12. Captain obvious strikes again! They bought high on Varsho. He's a decent defender, but no where close to Keirmaier level which the defensive numbers might have suggested last year. I'd trade him for Bellinger at this point.
  13. The Orioles would be able to put the best package together for Ohtani. I'm not sure they would go all in like that, but they have 9 top 100 prospects, no payroll and a handful of studs already at the MLB level making peanuts. The orioles have done a crazy good job drafting, which a lof of is also luck. They are going to be a pain in our asses for quite a while.
  14. I feel like Tyler O'neill might be a decent buy low platoon bat the Jays could roll the dice on that won't cost that much.
  15. I can't give Orelvis up for any rental. Ous system is too bare and our payroll is too high. I'd rather have Paxton than Montgomery anyway. Paxton's averaging 95.8 MPH with a 31.1K%. That's vintage Paxton. I also think Spanky is right. I think prices will be too high for us to get any impactful players. We just have to hope Manoah continues what he did last night.
  16. I'm surprised Paxton is so low on the list. It's only been 50 innings. His stuff is still filthy. He's a rental owed nothing who could be a big game pitcher in the playoffs. I'll be curious what it costs to get him.
  17. Well I did say Ryu would start a playoff game at the beginning of the year in the bold predictions thread. Now I just need the Jays to make the playoffs!
  18. springer is back. .850 OPS will be here soon.
  19. Just watching a bit of the As and Red Sox...man Paxton can still pitch. He just struck out Trout and Ohtani. The big question with Pax...how long can he stay healthy this time. Hopefully he can hold it together for his sake. I can't stand the Sox, but I've always liked Paxton.
  20. If you looked at Gurriel's career numbers it shouldn't be a shocker that he's regained the power. He made some adjustments last year to be a better contact hitter. The power numbers were bound to rebound. A top 10 prospect in baseball plus Gurriel. The Varsho trade may be Atkins undoing.
  21. Went out last night to a pub with friends. Thought, no worries I can watch the game at the bar. Waitress frantically scrolling through for Jays game and I realized, f*** this game is on apple. Looking at the box score it wasn't a bad one to miss. Schneider seems so rigid. Right now KK could be higher in the order. Belt should hit ahead of Varsho. When are we going to shake things up to maximize the lineup.
  22. Cortes has been good....hitting his spots.
  23. There's zero reason why Belt isn't hitting 4th.
