    That ball to Rutschman was an easy double play if they weren't playing the massive overshift. When you have a guy who throws a 100 and situation where a guy is just looking to make contact, I'm not sure about the big shift there. It's probably just hindsight analysis though..lol.

    We're 5 up on the orioles in the loss collumn, 4 behind the Yankees in the loss collumn. I want the Rays to beat the Yankees and drag us closer. How about we take care of the depleted Rays ourselves in the 9 games we have and win the division ourselves.

    You can't block the plate before the throw. That's now what Kirk did. He was out in front of the plate. He didn't start backing into the lane until the ball was in view..the throw took him there....ridiculous call.

    Merrifield has tons of speed. Biggio has tons of speed. bunt up the first base line against a high leverage reliever...move the runner to second, score the run....put pressure on the D....one of the rare instances a bunt made sense.....Merrifield has been struggling and was in against their best reliever.
