  1. and yet we're still going to split the series. Go figure.
  2. Dear John Shneider. Switch Belt and Vasho in your batting order for f***s sakes. That is all.
  3. When nothing's going right you hit 385 foot outs. Kid needs some confidence. Sending him down to get some at bats and make some mechanical adjustments might be the way to go. He has to mak some changes. Take away the bat waggle. Try something different.
  4. I'm glad we went out and signed a bat in the offseason...KK was a good signing..lol
  5. Chappy 4, Belt 5, Merrifield 6, Varsho 7. I don't know why Varsho is hitting in the cleanup ahead of Chappy.
  6. It's just because AA left. The reality is AA went to the Dodgers and became a better executive and GM. He was a decent executive that became a really good executive. Atkins is a solid GM that works well with Shapiro. It worked out fine for both parties, but some can't let it go.
  7. 22 mil a year for a 40 mil a year pitcher is na bad.
  8. Cimber isn't going down anyways. It's been 10 innings. He's giving up 3 homers. Homers come in bunches and he could go 10 without giving one up. He's a change of pace guy. He's got a 1.2 WHIP and batters are batting .211 off him.
  9. I guess I'll be spending some time with the family this afternoon. This game will be done in 2 hours.
  10. If another player takes strike one right down the middle of the plate, I might need a new TV.
  11. Having a reliever ready and putting one in are 2 different things. He could have easily put Manoah out there and pulled him after the first baserunner reached him if he was using kid gloves with Manoah, which he shouldn't. We were up by 2.
  12. Thing is Manoah would have been facing 7,8,9. It's not like he had the top of the order coming up for the 4th time. I don't get it.
  13. Dumb move to take Manoah out. This game could go 10 or 11.
  14. New York f***ed us...that one angle clearly showed his mit was on the bag the whole time.
  15. Baseball is a game of confidence. The good news is we're 11-7. If we were 6-12 the pitches would be really gripping the ball tightly. There's been a bit of bad luck thrown in too for the guys. Of all the guys Manoah is probably the one I'm the most worried about, just because the expectations for him were quite high. Hopefully his next start he can limit the walks.
  16. Merriefileld is faster and seemed to take a good route to the ball, so I doubt it.
  17. Yes just like Stroman and anonymous posters on fan message boards?
  18. He was hitting 95 and 96 on opening day, so that should be part of the conversation?
  19. He had a 0.88 ERA in Sept/Oct in a tight playoff race last year. It's not like he chokes under every pressure situation.
