Lind couldn't hit lefties because he always swung at soft off speed away out of the strike zone. I don't know what clicked with Lind this year, but he's seeing the ball so much better. He's showing patience I've never seen before. He's only had 2 at bats against lefties this year and he got a double. The problem with judging Lind is he's in and out of the lineup sometimes missing 3 games in a row...it's tough to keep your production up when you're not getting regular work and getting into a groove. I would like to see Lind get a steady diet of playing time and let him hit against lefties for a few weeks.

Ricky pitched 1 game in a ball in all of april and then gets rushed up. He looked okay in his first outing...not so good last night. It was the 2 walks that killed him last night. He left the ball over the plate on one of the singles, but the other 3 were actually pretty good pitches and rather bad luck. He was rushed up and pitches 4 innings and now they send him down. It's ridiculous. For a guy who's primary issue is his mental game and confidence you are sending him down after 4 innings. What happens if they ever bring him up again...he's going to think every pitch will have to be perfect and the same thing will happen. AA screwed this one up big time. He should have either given him more time in the minors to get some work in down in the minors prior to being called up, or have been given more rope to work things out up with the big club.

this is completely off topic...but the Islanders are putting on a show...5-4 in the third...what a great series..I thought the penguins would just roll over them.

good at bat by lind.....just couldn't find a hole....so much more patient this year...looks like a completely different hitter this year.
